Can’t live without this
My daughter just turned 1 and this is our 4th Angel Dear giraffe blanket. We’re so thrilled with this lovey. I was advised by friends who had kids before I did to purchase several “lovey” in case they get lost or cannot be repaired. Based on my own experience with “lovey” (I still have mine from childhood…), I decided that I wanted something that could be thrown in the wash. As you can imagine, the lovey gets a lot of love and are dragged around and have milk and food stains. The Angel Dear can be thrown in the wash and still come out soft and cuddly. We have one in daycare and one for the house. I basically just rotate the in the wash weekly. I may get a 5th one to keep on hand, brand new, so when my daughter becomes an adult, she can have one as a keepsake given how much she loves her Angel Dear giraffe lovey.

Great blanket
I got this as a gift at my baby shower, along with a couple other security type blankets. My son has taken to this blanket over all the other’s. You know when you see him carrying George (That is what we call him) that he is ready for a nap or night-night. I have been searching for another one for a couple months now, so I can wash one and have other ready for nap time. So glad to have found this item I’m going to get 2!!!

Indispensible!!
This is my daughter’s most prized possession - “yuh-dee” she calls it. She received several different loveys as gifts when she was born, but this ducky has become the favorite by far. No longer will the other two do, it must be THIS lovey! So glad I found a spare!

It’s very soft, easy to wash, and perfect for little hands to snuggle and hold.

Much loved but tips easily
My 5-month-old loves this mirror and the crinkly leaves at the bottom. He often lays on his tummy and looks at himself and grabs at it. When it’s not attached to something, it tips very easily. So, we have to constantly stand it upright again.

This product serves its purpose. You can strap it to the crib and/or lay it on the floor. The only thing that’s misleading is the picture. It makes it look like you can drape it over objects due to the space that might be between the front and the back. In fact, there is no gap there and it just folds out a bit into a triangle base so it can stand upright on flat surfaces.

Good Mirror, Cute Bugs
I’ve read other reviews of this mirror and find that it does indeed stand up well on its own to serve as a good tummy time toy. The mirror is nice - does not distort the reflection, and it is framed in soft cloth with cute bugs that have tags and detach. It also boasts some sweet rings and curly cues to pull. It’s very bright and definitely got my baby’s attention.

Solid product, and a snap to install
We installed this product along an L shaped wall to create a play area for our 19 month old. The area is about 32 sq feet in size, and accommodates a small table with 2 chairs, and several of his toys. The installation took less than 3 hours, and that was with my 19 month old “helping”. Without his “help”, it would have been a couple hours at the most.
The product was fairly easy to install, just be sure to install the screws into the studs behind the drywall, or use some heavy duty drywall anchors if that is not an option. We have used this gate only for about a week now, so there’s not much I can say for durability just yet. However, the first impressions are good. The product looks solidly built, and can be easily to set up to any shape or design you’d like without the need for even a screw driver (apart from the ends that are secured to the wall).
I would have given it 5 stars rather that the 4 I gave it, if it weren’t for the door. The door does not swing open a full 180 degrees, it only opens 90 degrees. My son have already started pushing on the open door, and I suspect that it is only a matter of time before it will either break off or come apart. Then again, I could be wrong, and it might be sturdy enough to survive the abuse; only time will tell.

[Update on 05/14/08] After several months of use, my (positive) opinion of this product has not changed. In addition, my worries about the door have so far been unfounded. The door has survived the abuse from my son without any problems. At this point I would gladly rate this product with 5 stars, unfortunately it does not look like there is a way for me to update my initial rating.

Solid product with one stupid design flaw
First, I want to say I have not yet completely installed this product but I like it already. The gates themselves are solid. They have nice bumper pads on the bottom so as to not scratch the wood floors in my home. The gate itself is extremely safe but a little difficult to open. If you have looked at other gates you will often find ones of parents complaining that their toddler figured out how to open it on their own. That would be extremely difficult here as it has a locking button that must be pressed before the gate is then lifted to be opened. The gate only swings one direction which is too bad and could’ve been fixed with a different style hinge. That sections themselves can be pressure locked into place, making this a very stable play-yard/large gate for your home. Sections can be easily lifted out and removed or added back in. This thing is very versitile in terms of configuration. BUT it has one really stupid design flaw that can be fixed by the consumer but should’ve just been done by the manufacturer in the first place.

THE FLAW:

The gate sections interlock at the hinge and then are held into place by screwing in a support bar. At each hinge, there is one side that goes up and ones side that goes down (male and female for simplicity’s sake). Thus you need one male and one female hinge to fit together for the sections to interlock. The other aspect to this is that if you are hooking the play-yard up to a wall or you are using this as a large gate, the top bracket to hook this to the wall is also male or female (you get one of each in the box). The final piece to this is that rather than making each gate section have one female and one male hinge piece on each side, the company decided to make each gate section have two male or two female hinge pieces. Because they did this, it limits the configuration that you can easily do out of the box. For me, I want to use this as a gate with only 5 sections instead of six which made it so the exposed ends to fit in the wall bracket were both female… but I get one female and one male wall bracket… Likewise, if you were to buy the two section expansion for this product but only want to use one section, you would run into the same problem. Note that this will only effect those that intend to use an odd number of gate sections!!!

On a related note, the reason for this could be that the hinge piece are not “ambidextrous.” Meaning that they can fully fold in on each other one way but not the other (you are limited to a little larger than 90 degree angel I believe). So, the above issue might be there so that the gate can fold up all neat and nice to be stored. If that is the case, I supposed it makes sense…

THE FIX:

The hinge pieces are held in place by a single screw on the bottom of the gate section. You can simply unscrew these and swap them out with the gate piece you don’t intend to use. This took me only a few minutes but it took me a while to figure it out at first. If the above reason I am theorizing is correct, the manufacturer could’ve simply thrown two of each top bracket in to save the consumer a lot of trouble. This would not help those making this into an enclosed playyard using an odd number of gate sections but I have a feeling that issue is a lot less prevelent and a lot easier to simply cope with.

In the end, this is a solid product and much cheaper than some of its competitors (like the Kidco Configure Gate which is about twice as much for the same number of gate sections). Highly recommended.

Very sturdy
Our 1 year old daughter is a strong one and would lean up against it. It works like a charm. I bolted down one side to the wall, and slid the other end in between the bookself and the piano.

We originally had it so she had a 4 feet by 12 feet of space to play in.
But she felt so trapped that I just blocked off the entrance to the kitchen, to bookshelves, and to computer equipment. The design was so flexible that we were able to redo the gates to just block off certain areas.

Between each metal panel, you can lock it tight so it doesn’t move. The panels can be aligned to about 100 - 180 degree angles. Each set comes with a panel with a door. Each panel is about 1 inch thick.

We actually bought two sets since we needed a large area to be blocked off. Well worth the investment over the flimsy plastic ones that break and bend.

Very cute and almost perfect
I purchased this potty chair for my third son. I knew from previous experience that I wanted a simple design with smooth edges and the splash guard built in. I had previously purchased the Baby Bjorn one piece thinking it would be the one. After getting it home I quickly realized it was WAY to small, unless you are potty training your 6 month old, my son is 18 months and 29lbs. I was happy when I found the Fisher Price Froggy Potty. It has the great simple design that I had wanted and the splash guard was built in. The base is nice and wide which makes it stable and has handles on the side for your little one. There is also a handle on the back that makes it easy it pick up in one piece it move for cleaning. The blue bowl lifts out to make cleaning a breeze. My only complaint was that there should be some rubber grips on the bottom so that it will not slide across the floor. I cut out a piece of non slip liner and placed it under the potty, problem solved. I would recommend this potty to friends.

Just what I was looking for
This is the 4th training potty that I purchased for my son. I knew that my husband would give me a hard time about it, but this time I knew I’d finally found the right one and it IS.
1. Simple two-piece design with smooth curves and built-in splash guard. Do NOT ever waste your money on a potty with a removable splash guard if you have a boy. It’s easy to empty and easy to clean.
2. Nice big bowl– if your kid is sitting on the potty, then everything’s going to go where it’s supposed to go. No messes.
3. It’s a FROG! My son LOVES it! We also have the regular Bjorn potty and it is just as good (just a lot more money). But it’s plain and boring and my son didn’t get excited about it. With the frog, he WANTS to use it. We were finally able to kick-start the process. Now we use the frog downstairs and the Bjorn upstairs and it works great. If I’d found this sooner, we would have TWO frogs!

frog eyes are HUGE!
My son loves this chair. It’s simple, he can carry it around if he wants and it’s a frog “ribbit”. However he has NO idea how to sit on it. He either sits sideways or I have to help him straddle over those big eyes. Once he’s sitting his legs are very spread apart, he just looks uncomfortable. He’s very big for his age, 17 months old- 33lbs and 3′2 in tall. When he tries to get off of the seat he “racks” himself. His knees are bent so that they look like they are in his face, the seat is short. I’m not sure if the site has measurements, but double check! The price is OK, but seeing as we can’t use it properly, it’s a waste for us. I’ll be buying something taller, with absolutely NO obstacles! Something he can just sit on without having to spread his legs at the same time hes having to backup to it and sit. I’m working on just sitting him on the big toilet for now on a cars toilet seat cover (which also has many flaws) I hope this helps make your decision! I always rely on these reviews! Then again, I bought mine off this site because of all the positive reviews! LOL the irony…good luck with your training!

Thomas and Bulstrode Bath Buddies
This boat and train are a fun addition to our grandson’s tubby toy collection. He’s a Thomas the train lover…Now bath time is even more exciting because Thomas is in the bubbles!

“Okay” Thomas the train boat
This is a great toy for a Thomas the Train lover. But it does not work very well in the bath tub and it does not do much. The string on the end is supposed to be pulled and the boat is suppposed to sail across the bath tub. I did not find that it worked very well.

Don’t let kids suck on it!
Drool and some toys just don’t go together…
This is a cute and fun toy! My daughter loved it, but she liked sucking on the top of it and the drool got into the circuitry. Needless to say it quick working within a week.

Great Toy!
We bought this toy for our daughter because my cousin’s son had one and he loved it. Plus we thought some of the sounds were funny. There all sorts of different sounds, songs, and phrases in 3 different languages.
My daughter used to get ahold of our tv remotes and broke 3 of them before we got this for her. She loved pretending to change the channel on the tv. She’s 2 1/2 now and found it in a drawer a few weeks ago - she still enjoys playing with it.
I would highly recommend this toy!

Sticker comes off into mouth
My 1 year old son is constantly trying to play with our remotes — he likes to press buttons and see the lights — so we thought it would be a good idea to buy him one of his own. I bought this toy remote at Wal-Mart just a couple days ago. The sound and lights were perfect but the little wheel at the bottom seemed out of place and unnecessary. I bought it anyway because it was the only remote available at the store.

Within minutes of playing with the toy we realized that parts of the sticker were coming off and my son was chewing them. He no doubt swallowed some of the sticker and we just gave up on the toy right there. We will be returning it.

Love this
Very easy to use and gives better coverage than nursing tops. I love that the neck opening allows me to maintain eye-contact with my son, who was not a fan of blankets covering his face. My husband jokes that the polka-dot pattern I chose screams “LOOK OVER HERE,” but this really is a great product for nursing modestly, if not completely discretely.

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!
I don’t often write reviews, but I love this pump so much, I had to share my positive experience. After looking online at several pumps, I finally decided to purchase this model after reading mostly positive reviews about it. I am SO glad I did!

I had a manual hand pump and it would literally take me days to pump 4 oz of milk. With this pump I can get 4 oz or more in one or two very short pumping sessions! Fabulous!

The “petals” in the cushion really work to stimulate let down. I find that I can even pump after my baby has eaten her fill and this pump will often prompt a second let down! Plus, the motor is so quiet I can pump next to my sleeping baby, which can help let down as well.

Honestly, I was scared to buy an electric pump because I had heard that the powerful suction made them painful to use. I am pleased to report that this pump does not hurt at all. You can set the suction and speed to your personal preference, which is super handy. You simply pump in a way that is comfortable and effective for you, press the button to switch to electric mode, and voila! You can change up the pumping style as often as you want with no hassle.

It is easier to clean than my other pump and is so simple to assemble. It includes a wall outlet cord or you can use batteries to power it. It also includes parts to convert it to a manual pump so you can use it on the go or when power is not available.

The only negative comment would be that sometimes milk flows back under the “petal” cushion, but I have never had a problem with it leaking while I am pumping and making a mess. You just rinse it away when you clean the pump, so it is not horribly bothersome in my opinion.

All in all, this is a fabulous pump, especially for the price! I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick, easy, painless way to pump!

Best pump!
This is the best breast pump I have ever used! The one that I used with my first child was a cheaper, but well known brand, and it was painfull and hard to clean. The best feature of this pump is that it has NO tubing to get milk backed up into. Also, the massage cushions help to ease some of strain from suction. I have been very successful at using this at work. It is quiet and easy to store. I carry it to and from work in a small diaper bag with enough room for bottles and ice packs. This product is well worth the price. I am glad that I chose it over pricier brands.

Mustela has been really good for my son’s sensitive skin. He breaks out at the sight of any of the kid’s body washes on the market that one might by at a general retailer.

This lotion has a bit of a scent to it, but it’s not strong or over powering. It smells pretty clean. It seems to last until the next day’s bath and it does keep his skin very soft. We live in very harsh winter conditions and lotion is a must during the winter.

During the summer months, I use this on my son every other bath. It seems to work very nicely that way. It isn’t greasy and it absorbs very well.

We have been using Mustela products on my son since he was 4 months old and he is now 4 years old. It is such nice stuff, I don’t know when we will switch to another product, nor do I know what those products will have in them that might cause a rash. There are no dyes in this lotion. A little bit really goes a long way, too. One needn’t apply a lot to moisturize a child’s body.

Buy this if you want to massage your baby
I purchased this Body moisturiser cream after my first purchase of Mustela products - the hair and body wash. Both this moisturiser and the body wash are awesome products and smell great. They last forever too - I’ve used the body & hair wash every single day and my baby’s 4 months and there’s still heaps left. My coworkers comment on her yummy “baby smell”.

I don’t think you really need body moisturiser for a baby - unless you want to give your baby massages. After they lose all that flaky skin when they’re little, their skin becomes soft, smooth and definitely not dry (at least that’s the case with my 4 month old). So don’t bother purchasing this unless you want to massage your baby.

PS I use this to massage my baby girl and I don’t think she really enjoys the massage - I am persisting because maybe the sounds she’s making are good sounds…or curious sounds…I am still learning…but your baby may be different.

Clean and simple
Love the scent and its gentle on my baby’s skin. Seems to hydrate well. Love the bath/hair soap that goes with.
