Perfect for frozen lunch
I often bring a frozen lunch to work, but can’t just throw it in my tote bag. It doesn’t stay frozen, and it makes everything damp. I had to search to find a bag that wasn’t too big, or triangular. This one fits the box easily, keeps the food plenty cold, and flattens well for the trip home. The comment about the shipping is right - I paid 2x in shipping what I paid for the bag. Why doesn’t Amazon just offer this themselves?

It’s OK…
The bag, itself, is probably worth the money, however, I was forced to spend 3 times the purchase price on shipping which was, in my opinion, overly lengthy on purpose.

Good product backed up with solid warranty
I bought the 6-pack of Ripcords with Black Sniper band in October 2008 and have used them heavily between then and May 2009. My intention was to use them for auxiliary exercises after my primary workout, and for that purpose they worked perfectly.

The bands themselves: If you lift heavier weights these are fantastic for finishing exercises - they really knock out a burn. If you’re just starting out or not into the heavier weights these are also a great choice because they provide a wide range of resistance, require you to use your stabilizer muscles on the exercises, and allow you to perform reps to failure with limited risk of injury (i.e., you’re don’t have a loaded barbell that you could drop). For what it’s worth coming from a regular Joe, I would recommend these for just about anyone.

My experience with the bands: Over time I experienced a problem like the 1-star reviewer below: with heavy use the nylon straps in the handle began to tear through the rubber/plastic part of the handle. This made it uncomfortable, but I solved the problem temporarily by simply rotating the handle so the tear was on the opposite side of the strap. Quick fix, and it worked.

More recently, though, I saw 2 more handles experience the same problem. I’m a reasonably patient person and understand products won’t last forever, but this was getting to be too much. So, I decided to contact Ripcords - it was when I was looking on their website to locate their contact info that I was reminded of the LIFETIME WARRANTY on these bands. I contacted them by email and with 2 emails back and forth (all within a day and a half) we had verified my purchase on Amazon and they had given me instructions on how to get replacement bands.

They informed me that they had gone through 2 design changes on their handles since I made my purchase, so the tearing problem had been resolved. I asked if I could get replacements for ALL of the bands I bought since they all had handles that could potentially be a problem. To my surprise, they said yes without hesitation - all I would have to do is pay shipping. Very solid customer service with minimal delays in finding resolution…

In the end, I ordered a whole new set of bands to replace my entire original set - both the busted ones and the rest with the potentially defective handles. They arrived quickly and all I had to pay was shipping. The handles were, indeed, redesigned and built with a sturdier material. The heavier bands even had more reinforcing material visible on the handles, so hopefully all should be well moving forward.

Bottom line: Overall, a pretty good product combined with a pleasant customer service experience - a rarity these days. If you’re in the market for exercise bands I would definitely recommend these without hesitation.

**Note: in my opinion, the shipping charges for the replacements was inflated, but it was still a small price to pay for a full replacement set.

**Another note: when ordering the replacements I accidentally ordered two(2) black sniper bands instead of just one (1). I emailed to inform them and ask them to remove the extra one from my order. The reply I got surprised me: they told me to keep it, no charge except shipping! They said I could use it myself or share it with a friend to spread the Ripcords love.

Great for traveling
The set I ordered was received just days after ordering. The price on Amazon is the same as on their website, however when I ordered, I received free shipping from their site, which was not offered on Amazon. These bands provide a great range of resistance, with the black cord providing up to 62 pounds of resistance, and the yellow as little as 6 pounds. I have not used them long enough to judge their longevity, but appear to be good quality. The handles are nylon strap with a plastic tube, which looks to be the greatest opportunity for point of failure due to the tube rubbing through the strap after extensive use. However, if the company honors their lifetime warranty, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The workout booklet mentioned in the product listing is a one page black and white xerox copy with approximately 12 exercises, so don’t expect too much there.

I purchased these for use while traveling since most hotels only have Cardio equipment in their fitness centers, so for this purpose, I believe these will do great and am looking forward to having them on my next business trip.

Not for Biff, but for everyone else.
I purchased the Ripcords Bands (6-pack) three weeks ago and very pleased with the product. With the horror stories I’d been reading about excersie bands breaking and poor quality, I was happily surprised with the Ripcords. They’re sturdy and get the job done right; nevertheless, they’re also backed by a lifetime warranty. It actually took me a few days to build confidence in the Ripcords, but they’ve been working flawlessly.

I find the lighter bands are great for warming up and the heavier bands, especially the Black band, are up to forcing the issue with muscles. Working every other day (to let muscles rest and build [essential!]), I’m feeling stronger and could see some definition after the first 2 weeks. I’m on a 1100-1400 calorie diet for weight loss, too, so this helps with seeing the results faster. As a guy used to eating “whatever,” it’s hard at times. Man or woman, you just need some trial and discipline. That goes for sticking with the Ripcords workouts, too!

If you’re Biff and want to be buff, Ripcords may only be a warm-up routine. For the 99.8% of us, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with this product. Buy them, stick with it, and you’ll love what you see in the mirror. Get through the rough days and stay at it. Good luck!

Work great with no chemicals–use them with my small children whom I do not like to spray with DEET. Mild odor is not noticed when worn on an ankle.

Insect repelling wrist bans
I put one on my wrist and went into a part of the yard that is really heavy with mosquitoes, they didnt bother me from the knees to my forehead, they ate me up from knees down and the back of my neck. I only saw one or two sitting on the wrist ban licking it. The did work well for the area they covered.

bug bands
These really to work! I don’t like bugs and neither do my kiddos! They are wonderful. Highly recommend to all mom and kids….NO BUGS with these on.

A back saver (plus how to avoid the slip)
I recently picked up a large Trail Lite pad as I re-outfitted myself before a camping trip. I had a Therm-a-Rest pad when I was younger, but I went a few years with no time for camping so I had divested myself of most of my gear. I consider myself a bit of a tightwad, so I had a hard time making my purchase (especially since I could get one of those cheap blue-foam pads for less than $10), but I decided to go for it anyway, based largely on my memory of my previous Therm-a-Rest.

On the other side of my recent trip, I’m glad I opted for the Therm-A-Rest. My sons packed in those blue foam rolls, and I caught a nap on one of them. They don’t compare to the amount of padding you get with the air-foam combination of the Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite (though the insulation factor is probably just as good).

STORAGE and INFLATION TIP

To keep inflation times to a minimum (and to reduce or eliminate the need to inflate it yourself), be sure to store the pad unrolled an open, as described on the fact sheet. They recommend under a bed or behind a couch, but for me the back wall of the closet works best. If rolled and stored, the foam tends to remember being in its compressed state, and it takes longer to fill (or you’ll end up blowing it up). If you keep it unrolled until right before your trip, it will expand and self-inflate faster.

TO BEAT THE SLIPPING PROBLEM

When I was younger, that was the thing I hated most about my Therm-a-Rest pad–the way a nylon-shelled sleeping bag would slide off on nearly any incline. To fix that, I purchased a roll of that rubber-matting material (it’s bumpy and forms an open mesh pattern)–the stuff that’s often sold in the housewares section to keep things from slipping or sliding in drawers, or can be placed under smaller kitchen rugs or mats–and I roll a lenght of it into my Therm-a-Rest before I head out. With that down between my sleeping bag and the pad, I don’t have as many problems with slippage. It even makes it easier to turn over in the bag, without the bag itself flipping over.

PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT

I strongly encourage you to consider purchasing a stuff sack for your Therm-a-Rest pad. Having the sack that fits your pad makes packing the pad a snap (no web straps or bungee cords to deal with), and it helps keep dust and grime from the trail from getting on your pad. Even if you set down your pack (or if it falls over), you’ll soil the shell and not the pad itself.

Slippery
The product fell short in comparison. I took the mat on a backpacking trip and my girlfriend took a different kind. We ended up trading back a forth so someone only had to suffer the thermarest every other night. My sleeping bag slipped all over it when sleeping on any sort of an incline (camping = almost always) I would frequently wake up halfway off of the mat. My girlfriend’s mat had little ridges and a little inflated ring around the edges to prevent all the slip-sliding.
Also - ANNOYING to try and JAM into the carrying sleeve. HALF AN INCH WIDER would have been fantastic. I ended up sweaty and frusterated every morning after my restless sleep.

well rested camper
I took this for a weekend hiking/camping trip and was very pleased with it. The comfort astounded me to be perfectly honest. I was told beforehand that the self-inflatable mats usually needed some help blowing up(via mouth)the first time or so because of being packaged so tightly for a period of time. This was true, but not a problem whatsoever. It took only a couple of minutes to have it all set up and it stayed full and comfortable the entire weekend. The mat compacts fairly well and is definitely light enough to take along on any hiking trip. I think it is well worth the money.

made for life
hugger mugger has a reputation that this product carries on strong. the strap is especially helpful in the longer sizes (I bought 1 at 8 feet in length) since I am 6′5″. I appreciate the weaving pattern of the strap itself (made to endure a yoga practice for life…I’ve seen these particular items at facilities all over the states, without signs of freying). I aired on the side of the metal d-ring, though admit to having never seen the plastic shear apart. either way, I believe you’re in good hands with this item.

Just Right!
I had a cheaper version of this product and the strap was flimsy and cut into me in certain poses not to mention that it was too short for many poses. The hugger-mugger strap is not only long enough but thicker and smoother so it doesn’t cut in to my skin and it is comfortable to grip.

yoga strap
This durable yoga strap is very comfortable and sturdy. It has come in very handy for me during my practice. I love the long length.

Cheap…
These worked for my wheel barrow, but the valves have a slow leak. They need to be pumped up before use. But the price was low, and they served the purpose.

moneys worth
I put these tubes in some quick roller sports and it seemed that they were a little too big, but it all worked out smoothly in the end, im running them at 60 psi currently. they are that cheap thin rubber either.

Idea good, velcro BAD
This product would have been great, except for the use of unpadded velcro. Velcro all by itself has sharp, rough edges. Wrap some around any soft area on the body and tighten it down. Don’t even have to tighten it a lot, a little will do. OK, now leave it for a half hour or more (your tolerance may vary). Eventually you will know you have velcro strapping on your arm, as it attempts to cut into your flesh. It won’t cut, but that nice, thin, rough edge will become rather uncomfortable after a while.

The idea is great in my opinion. I’ve had luck with magnets for other aches & pains, and I liked how the main pad was built and how it dampened the tendon flex. The other pad has a tendency to rest on the inside of your arm and not allow total flexing of your arm.

I’m sending mine back. Traded discomfort and annoyance for some pain remediation. Not worth it. Going to look for something else.

Oh, by the way. If you buy this, or anything for that matter, from “Pro Therapy Supplies” they WILL charge you a 10% restocking fee and their cost to ship the product(s) to you, if you decide to return the item.

Great relief for torn tendon
Diagnosed with a slightly torn tendon I was looking for a support that would allow me to continue playing as a drummer as well as golf on a weekly basis. I’ve tried a variety of straps but none of them provided the needed relief. This product definitely does the trick. It’s easy to put on and wear, in fact you can leave it on all day without any discomfort. The only issue I have with it is that if you’re in hot/humid conditions the pads tend to get very wet, something that can be remedied by placing a small cloth under the pads. Other than that it works wonderfully.

Not completely happy
Product is adequate, and does seem to draw heat/blood to the area. However, wearing as loose as possible without it moving around as instructions suggest offers no benefit. Tighter and it is like a tournique. I have been unable to find a comfortable compromise. I would try a gel base product for compression without cutting circulation.

ZOMG!!!! Sweatpants with pockets!
I ordered these when the weather turned to crap in Iraq and it got REALLY cold. When the heater breaks in your tent, it’s no fun… but I ordered a couple pairs of these sweatpants (they shipped fast) and they’ve been great for me ever since. My only compaint is the legs are a bit long, leading them to get muddy when I venture out at night with them. No biggie though- I’m warm, and that’s what counts!

I also ordered a black Gotcha hoodie to go with them since it’s cheaper than normal hoodies, and shipped free with Prime!

Nice looking sweatpants
I got my husband 2 pairs of these pants. Unfortunatly I did not read the sizing info. They are actually bigger than most sweat pants, so we had to return for a smaller size. The quaity is very good, they are soft and comfortable. The pant legs do NOT have the elastic on the bottom which is great. Plan on getting the other colors as well. These look as if they will hold up well wash after wash, but I have not washed them yet so not certain. Another plus is that they have side pockets, so men can carry thier keys and not loose them if they have to go out in them.

Great Looking and Comfortable Pants
Ordered a pair of Navy and Charcoal for my first order. I soon order another 3 pair consisting of Oxford, Navy & Charcoal. Great looking pant with a comfortable feel and its reasonably priced. If you are ~1.72m tall with a waist of ~29′ like me, then ordered size small as it fits perfectly for me.

Kickin’ 5 Mil!
This is not a bag for carrying lots of stuff, so don’t get it if you wanna carry a pro SLR and bulky lenses. Check out the 7 Million Dollar Home if you need that. Instead it is an attractive and petite bag for a small SLR (no grip) and a lens or two. I bought the 5 Mil for my Canon 50d with attached 17-55 2.8 IS USM. It’s a perfect fit and has plenty of room for a flash and/or small lens, plus a few nicknacks like iPod and CF cards. My 5DII/24-105 4L also fits, albeit a little snug for my taste. It’s a smart looking bag, sorta a mini messenger bag look although a bit purse like due to the diminutive size. My wife says I look like a cool metromale rather than a geeky photog when I carry it.

The 5 Mil is a toploader with 2 small compartments on both sides of the main camera compartment. The adjustable dividers are stiff and don’t buckle under camera weight. The velcro used to anchor the dividers is super heavy duty and will never move in normal use. I like the soft cloth interior and, unlike coarse nylon cloth, will not scratch the camera finish with repeated sliding in and out of the bag. The bag has some type of stiff reinforcing material in the walls and dividers, so it keeps its shape whether full or empty. The only downside to this stiffness is the bag can’t be flattened for packing in a suitcase.

Some have complained the velcro on the flap, although strong, is too loud when opened. If they would have actually read the instructions (!), they’d know all of the Million Dollar Home bags have a fold out cover to disable the velcro. Of course you’ll have to leave the flap loose or use the buckle.

A few cons: although the strap is wide it lacks a should pad. Of course you can buy a Crumpler shoulder pad separately but it really needs one if you load up the bag. I added one. Crumpler really should have added a zippered pocket on the rear for storing papers. The front pocket isn’t enough. Finally, the coarse nylon on the exterior, although nearly indestructible, really tears up your clothing after a few hours of walking around. Jeans fare okay but several of my t-shirts have holes where the bag “sands” them during trekking. I wouldn’t use this bag while wearing a delicate shirt or jacket! I’m thinking of installing a leather or cloth protector on the back of the bag. Other bag makers–Tamrac–make a point of using smoother material on the back to mineralize clothing wear.

Stylish & Practical
I bought this bag to house my Canon XSi, kit lens & 50-250mm zoom, and on occasion my 50mm prime. I recently took this bag with me on a week long vacation through Disney World where I was constantly snapping pics and it worked out really well for me. I was able to store my cell phone, small wallet, point & shoot digi cam, memory cards and a few other odds and ends (sunglasses etc) along with the body/attached kit lens and the zoom (left my prime at home). Everything fits very nicely! My goal was not to have to lug around a camera bag & a purse the entire time. I originally purchased the 6 million dollar bag, figuring bigger would be better, but it was a little bit TOO big for me. Plenty of space in the bag, but I almost felt like it was too much empty space, seeing as how I don’t have a ton of accessories at this time. The 5 million is a good size, not overwhelming, but holds more than you think. The velcro ’silencer’ is a nice touch! Long story short, I’d recommend this bag/brand to family and friends looking for a stylish bag which holds a decent amount of equipment!

Great Bag
This is a perfect bag for any beginner photographer or perhaps someone who doesn’t want to haul all their gear with them. It feels like it is made of top quality materials that will hold up with heavy use. Crumpler added the velcro silencers on the 2009 models so you can use just the clips if wanted. I wouldn’t think twice to buy another Crumpler bag from Amazon in the future or recommend one to someone else.

Despite a slightly higher than average price, you definitely get what you pay for.

I’ve got my Canon Rebel XSi along with two lenses in it. There’s room for another smaller lens (like the nifty fifty), an external flash, and a battery grip as well.

Solid Pump at a Great Price
Based on the price I paid I expected a product of basic quality. However, I am surprised by the quality of the design and it seems to be solidly built. The adjustable arrow on the air pressure indicator is a nice feature as it keeps me from forgetting what my max pressure is and blowing up the tube.

I’m no expert on bike pumps (first one I’ve owned) but it does the job and is well constructed - so I would strongly reccomend it to anyone.

Affordable and reliable
This bike pump is great for the price. The gauge is clearly visible and the ease of pumping makes it a great value. I would definitely recommend this pump for road bike users or any other for that matter (going up to 100-110 psi was easy). All around, an excellent product.

inexpensive pump that does the job
This floor pump works as it should. The nozzle seals onto the tire valve with a flick of a lever. You can pre-set the desired air pressure on the pressure dial/gauge so you can easily monitor the progress of inflating. The ergonomically-designed love handles prevent stress on the wrists. Within minutes my tires are properly inflated and I’m ready to roll. Will accomodate Presta and schrader tire valves (but there’s no attachment for inflating a basketball). I can’t predict this pump will last for a decade, but I’m very pleased that it accomplishes a simple task very well.
