Rubber Tile Flooring Vinyl Tile Flooring
Mercredi, mars 24th, 2010bI don#039;t know if any of you ever saw, installed, any Nafco solid vinyl tile, but the kind that I have is 1/4quot; thick and when installed correctly looks like ceramic tile with a grount line. When the tiles were NOT butted up against one another it left a huge gap, butted together you could NOT see where they were joined, but be that as it may, I want to replace it and it has a texture like solid ceramic tile and I am not sure I can lay a floating floor over it as it seems that some of the image of the Nagco would sort of quot;bleed throughquot; the new floor. I have not talked to an experienced installer or seller of a product that can be installed over solid vinyl squares, so i don#039;t know where I stand on that. I know it sounds like it would be the way to go, but I don#039;t have but one opening to the kitchen that is of the dining room which is connected to it by a short hallway. These rooms are floored with Bruce engineered glue down herrinbone flooring. Right now there is NO height difference between the Nafco flooring and the wood flooring. I am quite certain that what ever I put in this kitchen would have the appropriate reducer strip to connect the two different floorings, but since I have not picked a flooring, I am at a loss to know how to handle that issue. I just want this stuff taken UP, and another floor put in my small kitchen that will be easy to clean and give me a normal , what ever normal will be, years of service for a really nice looking floor that is not too hard to clean and not too hard for a DIY to install. My hubby has taken on some really difficult DIY projects and they have come out very good, but he is not in a position at the present time to do much of any kind of flooring work. So I am just trying to find out what would be the nicest looking floor to put in kitchen that occasional splashes of water would not ruin and would be pretty easy for a DIY to install. My budget is not set, so for now price is not an issue, since I am not going to be installing marble, granite, onyx,or anything of that nature. So ANYTHING you all could suggest or point me in a direction that will eventually take me to a solution to my kitchen flooring needs would be gratly appreciated. Sorry for such a long post, Patricia in La. [FONT=quot;Franklin Gothic /bMediumquot;]
