Another great toy from FP!5
My son added this to his Handy Manny collection and loves it. The tools are the perfect size to help the handyman in the family. My husband assembled a shelf yesterday, and my son (2 1/2) was right there next to him with the tool box. The tools go everywhere with us. Even at naptime. I haven’t noticed that the sound is too loud like the other reviewers, but I find that the sounds most toys make are more tolerable when your child really enjoys it like my son does. Very happy with purchase and highly recommend.

Cute but NOISY4
The tools go up and down in the tool box while they sing. It’s a cute idea but the motor that makes them “dance” is very very loud. I prefer the talking Manny with the smaller tools. If your child likes to pretend to be Handy Manny, this is the right toy. The correct price on this toy is $[…] and it was being carried in all the major box stores in my area. So it may be worth it to save the shipping and just go pick it up.

Manny’s Tool box measures up4
My three year-old carries his new tool box around and offers to assist with all home repairs. Very cute when the tools dance around. All the parts seem sturdy enough. It might have been fun if giant plastic screws had been included so that my little helper could actually practice with the screwdrivers instead of his inserting them into my DVD player, etc. He loves it and recommends it to all 3 and 4 year-olds!

Customer Reviews:

Durable, good for smaller kids5
I see that the age range on these is 36 months to 8 years. I think an older kid (older than 7) might be disappointed with these, but my 36-month-old is in love with them. I got them for her after she played (a LOT) with a real pair, and seemed to enjoy trying to find things with them outside.

They’re a solid pair of preschool binoculars. We have a kid-tough camera too, and it’s also pretty indestructible. This is not going to be the best pair of binoculars that you ever get your kid, but they do work, and they’re adjustable-width, adjustable-focus. Only one color combination (unlike the camera, which seems to come in boy or girl colors), but that wasn’t a concern for us. They serve their purpose well.

Good toy, especially for campers/hikers4
I like them! I bought them for party favors for my son’s camping themed birthday party, most of the kiddos were between the ages of 2 and 3 and they all had fun with them. They do work reasonably well for the price. They are easy to use, and are much lighter weight than they look.

Lady Di Revelo5
This toy is absolutely GREAT for my Grandson Kenshin … he loves it. It’s a great learning tool too. It was very hard to find this and couldn’t do so before the Holidays. Thank you…

From the Manufacturer
The Kid Tough: Explorer Binoculars will help kids explore the world around them from both near and far. The Kid Tough: Explorer Binoculars have a manual interocular adjusting making it easy for preschoolers to see through, the rubberized eye pieces and lens covers make it extra durable, and the soft spray on the grips make it easy for preschoolers to hold. Kids will love having the ability to use the built-in manual focus knob to see objects far away. The built-in break-away neck strap will make it easy for preschoolers to take the binoculars with them wherever they go and of course moms will love that they are made tough enough to survive drop after drop after drop.

Intex water slide5
I bought this slide for my two kids, age 4 and 6. They are really enjoying it, and it seems to be good quality. It was easy to set up. I would say older kids such as teenagers would not like it as much because the heavier you are, the slower you slide down.

Intex Water Slide5
I ordered this slide for my grandson’s birthday. I waited until about a week before his birthday because I’m a procrastinator. It was shipped and delivered a couple days before his birthday. Needless to say, it’s been one of the outstanding hits of the summer around their family pool, and all his friends were able to use and enjoy it for his birthday party.

So far, it’s holding up to the wear and tear a group of 10-12 year olds can administer.

It’s a great way of doing business. I saved time and money by doing it the Amazon.com way. Thank you, Amazon!

The laughing could be heard for blocks! It’s great!4
Steps are great, big slide surface, extra inflated section at bottom of slide drops kids well past edge of pool, right in the center…very safe. Easy to set up & tons of fun for the kids..bought it for a birthday gift…delivered it early so could be used for birthday party….12 kids, ages 6-9 played for hours. Now it’s cooling off, we’ll have to see how it does next year after put away for the summer.

WE TURNED THE BEDROOM INTO A GALAXY5
I had a lot of fun with my granchildren transforming their bedroom into a glowing galaxy. There was more than enough stars to make a bunch of constellations on their ceiling. These are easy to use and weren’t messy at all. The kids love staring at the stars and pointing out the names of constellation before they go to bed at night. I was surprised when they started pointing out the real ones once we were outside one evening.
The experience really turned them on to learning about the constellations. We even ended up buying a real telescope and book about stars. What a fun way to learn for all of us.

Here’s an idea4
When sticking the stars up on the ceiling, don’t use the putty provided, the heat makes them fall down within a few days. So instead use a hot glue gun with silicon it doesn’t ruin your stars or ceiling paint and they wont fall off… Thats what i used from the start from previous experience.

Little Tiny Pieces That Don’t Hold Their Glow1
This item came in the mail and my 4 year old son and I were very excited. I guess we should have read the description more carefully because I wasn’t expecting so many tiny little pieces. We used ticky tack and began the tedious process of sticking the different sized stars and such all over his room. We waited that night to see the glowing celestial extravaganza. We kept the light on for some time to ‘charge’ the glow in the dark element then turned off the light. What we found was nothing close to amazing. The glow was fairly dim and only lasted for a very short period of time. We even turned a blacklight on them and all that did was make them glow a little brighter but, again, the glow only lasted about 10 -15 minutes. I ended up going back online and buying glow in the dark paint and a star shaped sponge. We dabbed stars all over his ceiling. These glowing stars last most of the night and our friends and family think his room is really cool.

Customer Reviews:

Bunnymania!5
Hi. My name is CJ, and I’m a Bunnyholic. I’m also an enabler, having induced Bunnyholism in at least five adults, including my boyfriend. I even succeeded in turning two children into Bunnyholics. I might succeed with you, too.

Bunnyholism came to me at a late, lamented board game shop in lower Manhattan. I was innocently — innocently! — buying stocking-stuffers one Christmas when a breathless man rushed in, huffing and puffing at the clerk about “booster decks.” Two minutes later he rushed out again, package in hand, and I wandered over to the clerk: “What was that all about?” “Oh, we just got in the latest booster deck for Killer Bunnies. It’s this card game, we rated it in our Top Ten Games for 2003.”

I bought it.

I now own all of the booster decks, and came here in hopes that Perfectly Pink might be out (as of this date, not yet). My boyfriend and I spent almost all of yesterday playing it with friends. It’s a good way to lose a day.

It’s not an addiction for everyone, though. Happily, the makers have addressed some of the criticisms earlier reviewers made - rewriting the instructions, for example. But fundamentally, the game is all about luck. Rather like life, you can do everything right and have everything go your way and still lose. (Which some folks just cannot accept.) It also requires a fair amount of reading, which initially can slow play down as players familiarize themselves with the cards. A key thing players should always remember: For every card, there is an equal and opposite card — although it might not appear until a later deck.

House rules are also helpful to deal with the ambiguities, some of which are unavoidable but others of which are, sadly, the result of badly-written text on the cards. (We take a majority-rule approach when we run into a new issue.) We also adopted a house rule to deal with the no-bunnies problem: As in Scrabble, in lieu of a normal turn, a player can turn in his hand and get a new hand. A player can do this at the very beginning of the game by turning in all seven cards, or on any later turn by turning in the five kept in the hand.

A few very important points. First, acquire the booster decks in order — visit the killerbunnies dot com website to find that out. I recommend against buying more than two boosters at once, as it takes time to assimilate the new cards. A hint for shuffling, an important issues as KB quickly builds up to a mammoth stack of cards: Somewhere along the way I found the suggestion that dealing the cards into 7 piles and reassembling the piles randomly was a numerical equivalent to a decent shuffle. Seems to work well for us. (We borrowed an electric card shuffler once, but it was overwhelmed; the KB cards are somewhat thicker and glossier than ordinary playing cards.)

I’ve found the game suitable for kids as young as 9 — in fact, the 9-year-old understood the principles of game play better than his mom and dad. But as it does take some reading, that’s probably about as young as is reasonable.

As in Monopoly, play can quickly turn pretty vicious, with players ganging up on each other, cutting deals, betraying their friends, all that kind of good stuff. But since it all comes down to luck, players really mustn’t take it too seriously. Beware of including intense gamers in your KB parties.

So go ahead, buy the deck. Lose a few days of your life to slaughtering bunnies with Quite Irascible Diffractable Cheese Balls and discovering which of your friends will sell you a quick cabbage card to fend off bunny starvation. Honestly, what else would you be doing instead — watching TV?

My newest gaming discovery. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.5
I just discovered this game about three weeks ago, and it has replaced Settlers of Katan as my favorite family game because it is just as fun and a lot easier for younger children to learn and a game can be as short as 45 minutes.

“Killer Bunnies” has that rare and wonderful balance between luck and skill. No one is ever completely out of the game, regardless of how well another player seems to be doing at any given time. Some of the weapons in the card deck can wipe out eight or nine bunnies at a time - allowing a player who has been behind in the game the entire time - the opportunity to take the lead if his opponents are unable to get bunnies for several rounds. Your two goals are to keep alive bunnies and collect carrots. When all carrots have been collected, the game ends and you’ll find out which carrot is the “winning” carrot. You need at least one live bunny and at least one carrot to have a chance of winning. This game can be played with two to eight people, with kids as young as 7 years old to adults. It has a very twisted sense of humor that both the adults and kids love and has another nine expansion decks - each deck radically alters game play and keeps the game fresh. Highly recommended.

I Got Hooked5
Killer Bunnies? The murderous fluffy white rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail comes to mind. However, you don’t have a Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch to kill these guys - no. Instead, you must do in your opponents bunnies with an ice pick, a guillotine, a chainsaw, green gelatin (with evil pineapple chunks), a miniature black hole, or the much-feared Cyber Bunny. Verdict? Killer Bunnies is ripping good fun.
While the game is a little complex (especially when the expansion packs are thrown into the mix, adding Zodiac signs, a 20-sided die, and pawns that allow you to re-roll certain dice), it’s easy to pick up. I found my mouth agape when they first described the rules, but once we got into the thick of it, I was happily forcing players to feed their bunnies and diabolically laughing when the Nuclear Warhead wiped out 5 innocent bunnies.
Killer Bunnies encourages challenging, boasting, begging, borrowing, stealing and dealing - an absolutely perfect game for forming alliances and temporarily ruining friendships through treachery. The juxtaposition of such cheery-looking colorful drawings on the cards with the macabre theme of trying to murder your opponents bunnies in order to secure yourself enough carrot cards to guarantee your success in finding the Magic Carrot is downright intoxicating. If that last sentence intrigued you, then you may ruddy well love this game.

From the Manufacturer

Mastermind is a simple code-breaking board game for two players, invented in 1970 by Mordecai Meirowitz, an Israeli postmaster and telecommunications expert. It was played as a pencil and paper game called bulls and cows at least as far back as the early 1960s. One player becomes the codemaker, the other the codebreaker. The codemaker chooses a pattern of four code pegs. Duplicates are allowed, so the player could even choose four code pegs of the same color. The chosen pattern is placed in the four holes covered by the shield, visible to the codemaker but not to the codebreaker. Board colors will vary from board shown. Ages: 8 + Manufacturer: Pressman

Put On Your Thinking Caps For This One!4
“Mastermind” is a great game for those who like to use their deductive reasoning.I have the older version and it has lasted for years. It can be played by children(starting around the pre-teen age)and adults together and it’s also great for just the kids or just the grownups to play on their own.

The game consists of multi-colored pegs and a board. One person arranges several pegs(which are hidden from view) in any number of color schemes. The other player has several chances to guess the pattern by arranging the pegs in different orders until he guesses the correct scheme or runs out of chances. The first player indicates how many correct colors are displayed. Using the process of elimination is the key to winning!

It’s a great game to take along when traveling or visiting (much easier to pack up then a computer and video games!). The pieces are very small so I would reccommend keeping it out of reach of toddlers.

It will really make you think!(I like to see my kids thinking, it’s such a rare treat!)…Have Fun…Laurie

Forget kids’ version - get this one!5
I’ve had the original Mastermind for about 30 years, and it’s a great way to hone logic skills. My 5-year-old recently got Mastermind for Kids as a gift, and I was disappointed. I guess it’s “cute” to make the game look like a bowl of Lucky Charms or something, but in the kids’ version there are NO PEGS - the pieces get scattered everywhere, ruining the game, with one false move. Tedious and very frustrating, especially for little ones. The kids’ version is a bit simpler as it allows for only three combinations, not four like the original; BUT you can just as easily decide to do the same with the original version anyway. GET THE ORIGINAL, IT’s GREAT!

“minutes to learn, a lifetime to master”5
that is the sales pitch barely legible still on the well-worn box that my copy of mastermind came in. i honestly cannot remember when i first learned to play this intriguing game, only that i am very grateful for the amazing woman who gave it to me. i still have the original box, becuase i plan on one day passing down this game to my children & their children. this wonderful toy is simple in design yet fosters critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and creativity without inherintly emphasizing competitiveness. i grew up playing it with my dad & it was something that inspired me to excell; we enjoyed one another’s accomplishments (either one coming up with an “unbreakable” code, or the other being able to solve it) and didn’t feel that one could only win at the expense of the other.

also, i recently saw a version made out of wood; so perhaps a few adjustments to the design could increase the durability factor (though my little plastic version has lasted 15+ years! & i simply put the pegs in zipper bags to keep them from getting lost)

~enjoy~
