Good basic timer
I was looking for a good basic timer and this fit the bill. It allows you to count up or down and shows time elapsed after the alarm rings (to see how much I screwed up the cookies).

One feature I was looking for but wasn’t apparent from the descriptions or photos is how the back is set up. I use the magnet, not the easel and attach it to the stove hood. With some timers the magnet is on the easel and the easel comes out from the back of the timer. Then when you push the timer buttons, it rocks back and forth on the easel, and usually falls into the soup. However, this timer has has the easel flush with the back of the timer. When attached to the hood, it does not rock back and forth when pushing the buttons. Big plus in my book. Sometimes it is just the small details.

Nice timer
We liked this timer. Its display and buttons were great. Its sound was pleasant. Unfortunately, the screen died when splashed with some water. Keep it dry.

Works well; just what I was looking for
I bought this timer, because my husband wanted one similar to the one his mom had, with the big display and the simple, three-button operation. This particular timer was better priced than most I looked at, and I liked the extra large display. I have been very happy with it. The buttons don’t stick like other timers I have used. I like the way the memory feature works, and the bonus feature that it can count up is also nice.

Solid Shovel/Pick
It just arrived and while other reviewers complain it’s too small, I have to ask, too small for what? You’re not going to dig a drainage ditch with this shovel, that’s true, but it’s the right size for a backpacking shovel, which is its main purpose. It folds up nicely and is very compact in the carrying case. Slightly weighty due to the steel, but I expect it will be rather durable as well. It does claim it can be used as a saw, but I don’t think the teeth are sharp enough for that.

Smaller than expected
It is much smaller than I expected, but it is of very good quality. I have actually found the the belt size package is quite useful. If you want a small camp/hiking shovel this is a great package. If you are looking for something to do a larger job, look elsewhere.

Somewhat small, but does the job.
Looking at the picture you would think that it is somewhat of a medium sized to large sized shovel. This is not the case - the shovel “head” is very small (about the size of a grown mans hand). It does do the job though and is easy to store.

Sewing made easy
I just bought this sewing machine for my 8 yr old daughter. Instead of waiting until Christmas and risking the possibility of a disappointed little girl I tried this machine out. I have been sewing for about 30 years and learned as a young girl myself. There is nothing more discouraging for a new sewer than a poor piece of machinery. This is an amazing machine for the money. So easy to use!!!! The auto button-hole attachement works great. I am very hard to please and I will say that I am impressed so far!!!!

Worth every penny and more!
I bought a Brother digital sewing/embroidery machine in February that was a total DUD…I mean it didn’t survive making one garment before it went Kaput and I’m still trying to get it fixed!
I bought this “little” machine as a “back up” and it is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to buy a bottle of sewing machine oil to oil it weekly (as the manual advised) otherwise it came fully equipped and it just purrs right along and does a great job of sewing on a variety of fabrics. I’m VERY HAPPY and it was 1/6 the price of Brother digital dud.

Brother sewing machine
This sewing machine is easy to use for a beginner, but there are two main issues I have had so far. Firstly, the directions are a little bit confusing due to how they are worded and the four languages that are present throughout. Secondly, the thread gets caught on the wheel which unthreads the needle frequently. However, the sewing machine sews great and is easy to use once the directions are read thoroughly. I have never sewn before in my life, but with this sewing machine in the last two weeks I have made my first Halloween costume for my daughter. So, all in all, I am very happy with the machine.
