Unlike small, toy-like UV key-chain lights, this UV Light is the small tool of a professional. Size of a regular pen, only using 1 AAA alkaline battery with metal construction is built to last. With 375 nm UV light, it emits almost no visible light.

  • Amazon Sales Rank: #2919 in Home Improvement
  • Brand: LED Wholesalers

Features

  • 375 nm UV Ultraviolet LED Flashlight
  • Pocket size UV 1 AAA .5″ diameter x 4.5″ Long
  • UV LED model features a single UV LED bulb in a machined aluminum body
  • Lightweight, Compact, UV LED Light For Leak Detection.

ID’s5
I purchased 4 different UV lights like this to try them out to check for fake ID’s. This is the only on that worked. I will keep one of the other three to police my ferret’s activities, and to check blood trails for bow-hunting, however the other two I will exchange for more of these pen-lights.

Great seller, shipping, product and price!5
I got my LED UV pen light for my fishing vest. I use it to set my UV activated glue when attaching tippets to my leader. The light is intensely bright and sets the glue faster than direct sunlight.

The body is made from aluminum tubing capped with a turned aluminum tip and spring loaded button end cap. There is also a pocket clip slipped on the body. Everything is black minus the LED itself which is clear and produces very little visible light except for a small blue dot when held close to a surface.

LED wholesalers shipped immediately and I received my package far ahead of schedule. Overall the product, shipping and price have exceeded my expectations.

Works too well…5
I have cats… I bought this on the advice of another cat friend so I could keep an eye on my cat’s activities. To my dismay, it worked really well. At least I know whats going on now.

I highly recommend this UV pocket light if you have any suspicions that your cat, or any other pet, may be going where they shouldn’t be.

Customer Reviews:

Bicycle Cross Bar3
It’s a nice to have but didn’t fit my bike as the instructions suggested. To use this product I had to install it backwards from the directions since my seat post was thicker and had a shock absorber in the post. I have a Giant Sedona, medium size frame. Seems to work ok either way.

Cross Bar Adaptor4
Very handy item for multiple bikes on a rack. Keeps from having one bike tilted at an awkward position from the other(s). Very easy to use, just be careful as the spring tension can fool you and you can get a finger pinched. It only took one pinch and now I can set the bikes up like a pro.

Robust and functional5
This bar is very stout and capable of staying in place. I use it to mount two expensive Treks and feel confident the bikes will stay in place at 70mph on highway. When I picked up my new Treks, the service tech commented on the quality of the bar and asked who makes it, where I got it etc…he was impresssed of it’s quality. The rubber end coatings interface well and won’t harm bikes’ finishes. Both my treks have different frame configurations, the bar adjusted easily.

Customer Reviews:

Excellent product5
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now, and I can already see the results. My only regret about this product is that I didn’t know about it sooner. The ab exercises are amazing with this product, and you can work all the muscles with different movements. I have never been able to work obliques effectively, however, with this product, I can target them directly. Two weeks only, and I can already feel the results.
Short version: this is one piece of equipment that is a must-have for a home gym.

Akrowheels5
Works great for pushups, flys, ab rollouts and much more. You get a great core workout and it is fun to do.

Fun & Easy New Work-out Product5
Where have these been all of my life?
This product is great. The DVD and brochure gave me the direction I needed, but since I started using a couple months ago, I now have an Akrowheels exercise “library” of at least 100 moves… and it’s so fun! The sky is the limit with these and the flexibility it provides lets you really be creative. For me, the Akrowheel is a throw back to the days when it was actually “fun” to work-out… you know, think hula-hoop, jump-rope, or skip-it. I am a yogi, and the wheels are great for yoga moves too, like downward dog, upward dog, and side stretches because you can stretch farther with the wheel. It takes just about 20 minutes a day I would say, and is portable which is a plus. If you don’t have room to store a big exercise machine like I don’t, the wheels take up less room than a folded yoga mat. I think that beginners through advanced levels of fitness can find a program with these that suits their fitness level because they are pretty adaptable. My goal was to get rid of my “love handles” tone my arms into a womanly shape & within 2 months I am already seeing the results. The instability of the wheels have really helped my abs. I don’t think that it is too dangerous because you can always modify exercises on different surfaces, only use one wheel, or even use a wall. Thank goodness I found these and that I didn’t spend more money for a bulky and less effective, more restrictive project. I would definitely recommend these.

Measure Lean Body Mass and Body Fat4
This is a very accurate method of tracking body composition changes and the Slim Guide Skin fold Caliper with the Booklet is a GREAT tool for doing this. I have used a few tools over the decades and for the price…this is a great tool!

The booklet DOES give you answers for 1, 2 and 4 location tests instantly without any complex math. (see P.S. at bottom.)

This is best used by taking measurements over a period of time and tracking changes. If your interest is simply to monitor your body composition over time for general health, once every one to three months is a good interval. If, on the other hand, you have a specific goal or are in an intensive nutrition/training cycle, you may wish to track once a week.

If you are looking to lose weight (by losing excess fat) …measuring Lean Body Mass and Body Fat is the only way to insure you are not losing muscle and water.

Many diets cause massive losses of water and muscle (very low calorie and low carbohydrate diets for example)…leading to a quick regain of pounds at some point. If you are on a diet program, and nobody is measuring your Lean Body Mass and Body Fat, you simply do not know what your body is doing.

So you know my credentials, I have been involved in health and fitness for over 20 years as a Body Builder, Body Sculptor, Trainer, Consultant, Coach and many other positions in the field. I am currently the Director of Personal Success Now.

For the best accuracy with this…

You should have the same person take the measurements at the same time of day. You should take your body weight (needed to determine Lean Body Mass and Body Fat) on THE SAME SCALE at the same time of day every time. The first time, you should measure how far down the Biceps and Triceps you take the measure and make a note. Make a picture diagram of where you take the other two measurements (below the shoulder blade and the side of the waist.) There are directions and diagrams to help you in the book, so don’t worry about a thing.

Also, note what cloths you were wearing when you weigh yourself on the scale…always wear them for the weigh-in. Take a photograph of yourself now!! It is very helpful to see images of yourself at 30% bodyfat, then at 25%, then at 20%, then at 18%! If you feel shy, take them yourself in front of a mirror!

You will be glad you did. Just trust me on that.

If the program you are following is not giving you results in three weeks, something is not right. Get some help from a knowledgeable and qualified trainer. They can help you shorten the time it takes to reach your goals and be Your Personal Best.

Always ask potential program managers/trainers how they will help you achieve your goals. If they will not be using these components to help you…consider finding someone else:

1) Food and Nutrient intake monitoring
2) Cardiorespiratory Training
3) Resistance Training
4) Personal Assistance including Body composition monitoring

Additionally, if you are looking to lose body fat, you should consider removing foods with flavorings, colorings, additives, and preservatives from your diet at this time, as clinical tests have demonstrated that some of these can adversely effect bodyfat mobilization (i.e. fat burning) and some even enhance fat storage and stimulate the appetite.

Wishing you Personal Success Now!

P.S.
It is important to know up front that you will need another person to help you if you wish to get the most accurate results using this method of body composition monitoring. To more accurately determine your Lean Body Mass and Body Fat, you take caliper measurements from 1, 2, 3, 4, or 7 (or even 9) locations on the body. 2 of these are from behind: Just below your shoulder blade and the back of your arm (which you can reasonably do alone.) There is an option to use a measurement from only one location (front of the arm) to determine bodyfat, however this is not as accurate as taking it from multiple (3+)locations.

There are on-line calculators that will allow you to use a 3-site measurement that 1 person can do alone. Here is one such: linear-software.com/online.html. Since this is based on a mathematical calculation, you can do it yourself if you are interested…here is the information:

The 3 Skin fold sites required for Men are:
Chest, Abdomen, Thigh;

The 3 Skin fold sites required for Women are:
Triceps, Suprailiac, Thigh.
There are illustrations on the website given above.

You must determine body density:
Body Density for Men:
1.1093800-(0.0008267*(sum 3 skinfolds))+(0.0000016*(sum 3 skinfolds)^2)-(0.000257*age)

Body Density for Women:
1.0994921-(0.0009929*(sum 3 skinfolds))+(0.0000023*(sum 3 skinfolds)^2)-(0.0001392*age)

To Calculate Body Fat %:
(457/Body Density)-414.2

The way to go4
I tried the electronic bodyfat scales with widely varying results. These calipers were extremely easy to use and the included booklet gave lots of valuable information on body fat percentage. Very repeatable results, now I know my BMI. No weight-loss program would be valid without an accurate measure of bodyfat and this one does the trick.

Good product4
I like that the booklet gets into why measuring body fat percentage is a more accurate way to assess health and fitness, although people buying this product will likely know that already. It also teaches how to properly pinch and measure the sites for the equation it includes.

The caliper itself is well-built. As you can see in the picture, it has springs. This means you only have to worry about pinching in the correct spot in the correct away without having to worry about how much force you’re applying, as with the Accumeasure calipers. The reason I docked a star is that the front jaws aren’t perfectly aligned, meaning there’s a lateral deviation of about a quarter inch. Since the jaws are pretty wide I don’t think this negatively impacts the readings, but it still reflects poorly on the build quality. Other than that, it’s a solid product.

Customer Reviews:

I am impressed!5
I am a seasoned amazon shopper and I have never written a review. I have to say that I was impressed. This item was shipped to me in the Caribbean in the time frame it was given to reach to Miami. I received everything just like in the picture. I was most surprised with the backpack I received. It is an excellent quality red back pack which is even nicer than the one shown in the pic. I would advise anyone to purchase this I will be ordering 2 more very soon.

All other marine handheld GPS units pale when compared to the GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 76CS—literally. The latest color-display technology gives both units the brightest, sunlight-readable displays available. And with brand-new state-of-the-art receivers and powerful microprocessors, these units will give you a quick and steady fix. Both the GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 76CS have the familiar GPS 76-family keypads and styling, with 115 MB of memory, an Americas Autoroute basemap, and a Marine Point database. Fast USB connectivity makes loading charts and maps quick and easy, while navigation instructions can be shared with repeaters, plotters, and autopilots using NMEA protocols through the dedicated serial port. They’re waterproof and fully compatible with MapSource products like BlueChart®, U.S. Topo 24K, and City Select® (which provides detailed streets for turn-by-turn guidance).

A Great Sea Kayaking Companion4
Before my GPS purchase, I considered a number of Magellan units in addition to some in the Garmin E Trex series. I finally decided on the Garmin Map76.

In addition to being relatively easy to use, I preferred the slightly larger screen of the Map76 over the other units. Since I was purchasing the unit to use while sea kayaking, I found the screen on the Map76 was much easier to read in the sunlight than the smaller screens on the E-Trex models. In addition, you can upload map data into this unit. (Although the unit includes a basemap, Garmin also manufactures a number of optional mapping products which cover roads, waterways and topographical features in more detail). For kayaking, I use the optional BlueCharts which is essentially like having Nautical maps at your fingertips. (These are sold by regions and tend to be a bit expensive however).

The tide station/prediction feature on the Map76 was also an important deciding factor. With this unit, you have the ability to get tidal predictions for virtually anywhere in the US at your fingertips.

The Map76 often receives criticism on the low amount of memory for uploading map data. The tradeoff however is that it also drains the battery power at a slower rate than those that boast more memory. (I also considered the GPS Map76S which has an added electronic compass and more memory, however after a trial use from a friend’s, I found the Map76S unit to drain battery power far too quickly for my intended use. The Map76S was also about $100 more in cost). Although the Map76S was a slightly upgraded Map76, I didn’t feel the extra features of the 76S were worth the added cost, especially with the faster rate of the battery drain.

I’ve logged over 500 miles of sea kayaking with this unit and am very satisfied with its performance. I find the memory capability in the Map76 is adequate for uploading maps for day trips and the balance with the battery drain is also sufficient.

Although it is waterproof, I highly suggest a transparent waterproof bag for using while kayaking to avoid salt water condensation corroding the battery leads.

Garmin also offers toll free phone and email technical support for their units and software.

This unit makes a great paddling partner.

Hits the sweet spot for GPS price/performance…5
So I finally got around to upgrading my trusty 3 year old Garmin 12XL to a new GPSMAP 76. I played with one of the Magellan 330s at the local store for comparison but found that once again I simply prefer the Garmin user interfaces. I also picked up the MetroGuide CD. I figured if I was going to upgrade to a mapping GPS, I’d really want richly detailed maps. Surprisingly, I’ve experienced no buyer’s remorse whatsoever. The GPSMAP 76 is nothing short of miraculous! Garmin is to be commended for the improvements they’ve made to their product line over the years.

The internal quad-helix antenna is excellent. Position accuracy is superb, screen resolution is vastly improved, and the extras such as tidal and celestial info are a really nice touch. The optimal fishing/hunting time predictor seems like overkill but I’ll bet there are users who swear by it. The routing and tracking functions are well thought out and much improved since the 12XL was released. WAAS is sort of a mixed bag. I find that that whenever I lock onto WAAS signals, the estimated accuracy gets a few feet worse. It’s never reads more than 20-25 feet off total but it’s still the opposite of what I’d expect. Regardless of what the estimated error reading is, the accuracy always seems much better than it lets on. I’ve been using it a lot for geocaching lately and it invariably puts me within 5-6 feet of the caches.

The MetroGuide CD is quite nicely designed for a Windows product (I’m a Mac fan!) It contains substantial improvements over Delormes Street Atlas 4 Mac which was the last CD based mapping product I owned. It’s fast and accurate (I understand that they just updated all their maps) and the integration with the GPSMAP is excellent. You can easily transfer all waypoints, routes, tracks, or maps back and forth between the GPS and your PC (or VirtualPC for Mac fans). You can also connect your GPS to the serial port and dynamically track your whereabouts on your laptop screen but I find this arrangement a bit cumbersome. There are just too many wires and batteries to deal with. For me having an easily readable, high-resolution, zoomable map on the GPS is the only way to go.

The only complaint I expected to make was with regard to the limited 8 MB map storage space. It turns out that 8 MB will hold pretty much the entire San Diego, CA and San Francisco, CA Bay Area. If I were driving across the country and wanted to investigate every nook and cranny I might be concerned. Otherwise it’s perfectly fine for now.

Great product, great price. Happy navigating!

I’d buy it again, but gosh how about a little more RAM?4
I love the screen, compared to the others. That is the most compelling feathure. The Mapsource info was more detailed than I expected. Tracked correctly on an old Georgia logging road I hunt from. I didn’t expect it to be there. I did find some signal loss in deep woods though, the Lorance seems to have a better antenna if that is a problem for you. My dropouts were more momentary than extended though.
Battery life was as advertised about 12 hrs, bonus that’s using ONLY 2 AA batteries. I used the light on screen as little as possible though.
Has all the features most could want. My understanding is WAAS is very limited at this time, DOD will shoot some more birds up in the future, but don’t count on it for now. I used this in FLA, GA, Wash state, Lower Alberta and BC provinces and was satisfied overall w/ basemaps and reception… but never got WAAS. P.S. I would not trust basemap to navigate by (e.g. boat in fog). Resolution not enuf; happily it erred in my favor, said I was on land long before I could hit the rocks. Have to buy addin Topo USA (Canada) maps. Mapping/topo gps is wonderful, compared to nonmapping. I used the grids to find a draw that deer would likely use.

Interestingly, Garmin calls this a maritime unit, but depending what maps you download, it’s not an issue if you are a landlubber. I downloaded a four county region near Tampa, and much of N. Georgia to the unit before running out of memory. I wanted to do Tenn. and NC appalacian Mtns, but not enuf room.

The floating part and general light weight is great feature. I think it is easier than some competitors.

Be sure to go to Garmin website and download: Firmware upgrade, Maritime map database (if u use downloadable maps, it can wipe out the base maritime maps, but u can upload again w/ this file) and finally, if u buy topousa or other set, get any updates there too.

really Great little knife5
This knife is missing the toothpick and tweezers when compared to the regular version with plastic scales. But what you get instead is a knife that is only ONE HALF as thick! Besides, who uses the toothpick or tweezers anyway. 99.9% of the functionality of this knife is in the 3 main tools. This thing is so amazingly slender that you can carry it around in your front pocket all day every day and never even feel that it is there. It will not rub in an irritating way like most things carried in pockets. Also it will never show a bump in your pants.

The fine aluminum scales look sleek and elegant and are even suitable for engraving. The scales are well textured without being abrasive and provide a secure, comfortable grip. It is the perfect executive pocket knife (except that it is not overpriced). It is also the perfect pocket companion for people who don’t want or like to carry a pocket knife, but still may need to open a package or envelope, trim a loose thread, clean a fingernail or turn a screw once in a while. Let’s face it, tool use is what sets us apart from the beasts. Mine has been carried daily for 7 years and still looks perfectly new. I sharpen it when needed and it will shave hair. The only time I do not carry this knife is when I want to have a pen on me. In that case I carry the similar Signature knife with retractable pen and tweezers. With either of these great pocket companions at hand, my life is made a little easier and more pleasant each day.

These comments are in no way a disparagement of the standard plastic Classic knife, of which I have several. That is also a great product. I just feel that the Alox version takes a great concept to it’s ultimate refinement. If they tripled the price, I would still be a fan.

Slim, lightweight and durable in the pocket5
This knife Victorinox - Swiss Army Classic SD- Silver Alox Knife is lighter, slimmer and more handsome than the typical Swiss Army Classic with the plastic sides. Although the product description says it has a tweezer and toothpick, as are found on the Classic with plastic sides, this model has neither. That’s why it is so much thinner and lighter than the other models. I’ve carried it on my key chain for about a month, and it looks no worse for the wear. A great value at about $15.00!

This small knife is so light weight you barely know it is in your pocket. It comes to the rescue several times per week. At a family gathering during Christmas it helped open most relatives presents. The knife blade and scissors stay sharp for a long time.

Wow! It’s actually a decent compass! And has some promise as well…5
Sometimes cheaper priced products can work out! I ordered two of these as gifts based on the first review. The first thing I noticed was the needles seemed to drift aimlessly, certainly not north. When I removed them from the package and slightly wetted the top of the compass, they immediately pointed north, and have been ever since. The initial wandering was caused by a little residual static electricity, so don’t panic if they don’t seem to work while they’re still packaged.

The luminous qualities are excellent, the outer luminous ring is bright enough to light up the compass rose at night. The needle is supposed to have a luminous dot on the north end of the needle. One had it, the other dot fell off the needle and floats around inside. For what I paid, I’m not even going to mention this to the seller. Here’s a trick I’ve found over the years — the phosphorous (the stuff that actually glows) gets more exited by short wavelength light than longer wavelength light. this means a cheap UV-LED microlight will really make these things glow very bright, and won’t generate a lot of attention at night.

Also, these compasses are *liquid filled*, which gives a fairly steady reading. the compass actually rotates inside the brass housing, and with a little effort, can be pulled out. This might have some additional capabilities with this feature alone.

If they went one step further and used a card with luminous ordinal points instead of a plain steel needle, this would be a killer survival compass.

The brass case gives it slightly heavy feel, something I’ve associated with quality over the years.

Summary: a tad underpriced. Recommend buying a few extra in case the dot falls off.

Brass Compass5
I was very pleased with the quality of this item for the price and glad that I bought three of them!

Very solid5
Very attractive and solidly built. Not something you’d use for wilderness survival, but adequate for general directions when traveling. Came with a California state mandated warning of carcinogens?? Maybe related to the glow-in-the-dark dial, I don’t know. I don’t plan to sleep with it under my pillow, anyway.

Customer Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
The key to success in life is knowing where you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going. Garmin’s full-featured GPSMAP 76 puts all of that information in the palm of your hand, mapping your movements off-road or on–and even afloat. Plus, its extensive features, PC connectivity, and extensive add-on map options make it powerful enough for practically any need.

About the size of a small paperback book and weighing less than 8 ounces, the GPSMAP 76 fits comfortable in the palm of your hand, but is a bit big to carry in a shirt pocket. Using the unit requires almost no setup. Just put in two AA batteries, turn it on, go outside, and wait. In about a minute or so it will determine your location. It’s accurate to about three meters, thanks to the unit’s support of WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System), which augments GPS signals for even greater accuracy.

Knowing your longitude, latitude, and altitude doesn’t mean much without a little context. That’s where GPSMAP 76’s backlit LCD display comes in, displaying your location on detailed maps. The unit comes with a built-in basemap that includes major roads, railroads, rivers, and lakes for the U.S. and Canada, as well as a high-level worldwide map. The unit also has 8 MB memory for storing maps from optional CD-ROMS; available maps include topographical maps, BlueChart marine cartography maps, as well as city maps with detailed information on city streets and points of interest.

The eight buttons, directional rocker thumbpad, and menu-based interface made it simple to access all of the unit’s features and customize the display. For instance, it’s a simple matter to use the buttons to set and name waypoints and build planned routes. Extra features include information on tides, sunrise and sunset, and a trip computer for seeing how far you’ve traveled and your average speed.

To test the GPSMAP 76, we used the included serial cable, connected it to our PC, and loaded it up with topographical maps using the optional United States topographical map disc. We then hit the road and headed for Muir Beach north of San Francisco. It tracked our progress along Highway 1, and once we reached our destination, we found it very simple to use. It showed both the elevation of the hills as well as the paths we could take. The zoom-in and zoom-out function made it simple to plan out and automatically measure the distance of our intended route.

After walking for a while and enjoying the scenery, we used the TracBack mode to guide us back to our car. The unit automatically stores waypoints as you walk along, letting you display the way home clearly on the map. We even used the TracBack capability to guide us on the roads back to the freeway.

The GPSMAP 76 comes in handy almost anywhere, whether you’re hiking, driving, boating, or wandering around a city as a tourist. Its easy-to-use interface makes it immediately useful to novices, and as you learn to exploit its programmability and features, it can become an extremely powerful navigation tool. –Ken Feinstein

Pros:

  • Large backlit LCD
  • WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) support
  • Automatic TracBack shows you the way back to your start location
  • PC connectivity with wide variety of uploadable maps available

Cons:

  • 8 MB built-in memory can’t be expanded
  • Too large to fit comfortably in a shirt pocket

Customer Reviews:

Great for everyday winter wear5
At my age, I don’t trail run. I bought these shoes for everyday wear in our Minnesota winter, and they are working out fantastically well.

In the summer, I typically wear ASICS athletic shoes, but in winter here, that’s out of the question. To get from the parking lot to my office, I typically have to step in slush, puddles, or snow. Parked on the street in the city, I frequently have to climb over a pile of snow to get to the sidewalk. Regular shoes get my feet wet almost immediately. On the other hand, it’s uncomfortable driving a car or clomping around in big over-the-ankle winter boots.

These ASICS are a perfect compromise. I have stepped in slush puddles, and walked through 2-inch deep snow and my feet stayed completely dry.

I bought these shoes for the waterproofness, but I was surprised to find they have excellent traction on ice. The soles are more like hiking boots than running shoes. Every outdoor horizontal surface in Minnesota this winter is covered by an inch of iron-hard ice. I have walked on a lot of it in these shoes and have not worried about falling.

They are comfortable to wear — they feel like athletic shoes. The only drawback is that Gore-Tex is hot to wear. (This is not a bad thing here - it was 17 degrees below zero this morning.) In warmer temperatures, my feet would probably be uncomfortably warm. When I get into the office, I change into a pair of clean ASICS running shoes.

Because of the soles, I suppose, they are stiffer than running shoes. They were slightly uncomfortable until I got them broken in, which took a week or so. Now they’re fine. I would avoid wearing them on a long hike right out of the box, if possible.

Not on par with Asics’ standards3
Generally speaking, Asics make amazing shoes. This is not one of them. Although it is very well made and has a nice look overall and good tread, it has several drawbacks. 1) I have seen Gore-Tex applied to running shoes with less of a “puffy/heavy” look and feel (Nike’s Air Steen which is no longer made). 2)The shoe itself is slightly heavy, 3) but its worst feature is that it doesn’t have sufficient cushioning in the shoe. The best trail shoes (for trail running, not hiking) work well both on the road and on the trail. I would not want to run for long on the road in these shoes.

Go Wide!!!!4
It seems that most all running shoes are getting narrower and narrower in the forefoot (toebox) In fact, the brand-new New Balance MT910GT comes in mens D & 4E widths. I wear a 2E, so went with the 4E and a pretty nice fit. Ironically, I had to size “down” to a 12.5. I sure wish ASICS had at least the GEL-Trabuco in widths. I wear Brooks for road shoes (13EE) and New Balance for off-road. ASICS had been my favorite brand, but “if the shoe doesn’t fit…”

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano,” which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.” Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.
