Passed the test
I finally tested this on a ~.25″ mesquite hole. Used the whole bottle and it worked. I had to jack the tire off the ground to rotate it and to give the near useless mini compressor a chance to fill the tire without having bead sealing problems. Rear tire, no vibration problems. I still replaced the tire after getting back to civilization cause the hole was a little onto the sidewall. The tire shop guys were warned and they didn’t complain about the slime in the tire.
Only used it on a small tractor tire
I have only used this to seal a puncture on a small lawn tractor tire, but it worked quite well. I also have a bottle in my car (Mini Cooper with no spare) but have never had to use it and hope I don’t.

Defective and Poor Quality
I impulse-purchased the WDR5B locally at a closeout price of $24.95, based on the long-standing reputation of Black and Decker tools. What a disappointment! The radio was dead in dry cell mode. (My batteries were new, inserted properly, and all tested good.) The unit was live in hand-cranking mode, but the tuner was extremely poor. It was difficult to separate adjacent stations and some overlapped. The tuner had difficulty locking in a station. The sound quality was extremely poor relative to a similar-sized and priced radio. The cell phone charger adapter plugs did not include a usb plug. The flashlight worked. I called the Black and Decker phone number listed in the instructions - Call This Number Before Returning the Product. The wait was short, the rep was polite, and the recommendation to return the product to where it was purchased reinforced my decision to do so. I would neither purchase this product again, nor would I accept one for free. So much for impulse purchases - should have read and heeded the two earlier reviews on this site.
Black & Decker WDR5B Weather Radio Flashlight Cell Phone Charger
This item did not work right out of the package. Followed the instructions, cranked to charge internal battery but got nothing - no flashlight, radio, nothing. Returned it today and will look for something that works. Expected better from Black and Decker.
What a dissappointment!
I bought this product and am returning it. It promotes that it charges most cell phones but when I opened the packaging (required to see the 5 tips that were included) none of them was a match with the popular tip used on my Sprint cell phone. The ensuing search for the proper cell phone tip has worn me out! I couldn’t reach the manufacturer (Black and Decker) for 5 days because of their EST hours. The product manual inside the package directed me to contact my cell phone company (Sprint) - no luck! They sent me to Radio Schack - no luck. Then I reached the manufacturer and they sent me to Best Buy - no luck. This has been a huge waste of time and I hold Black & Decker responsible. The proper cell phone tip should be available through the company and if not, the enclosed tips should have been pictured on the packaging.

Great charger but better deal is waiting for you
This is a great charger but the same company (schumacher’s battery maintainer), makes an identical product for sears, branded as diehard.
It costs the same as on amazon but comes with a 3 year warranty, not the standard 1 yr. warranty found here. Plus you don’t have to deal with shipping hassles when you can just go to your local sears and pick one up or exchange if you have problems.
Great maintainer
After having the battery on my “summer only” convertible go
flat last winter I decided to invest in a battery maintainer.
The Schumacher SEM-1652A was the best compromise of price (around
$40 with shipping), features (a normal charging rate, and a
lower maintaining rate, with overcharge protection and indicator
lights), and small size (fits easily under the hood by the
master cylinder, battery wiring adaptor with quick connect makes installation and removal a snap.
The changes I would make to it are few. I’d add a few extra
crimp-on terminals of various ring sizes to the kit, so different
power connections with the wiring adaptor could be made (my car
has the battery mounted in the front fender well, I had to get
larger ring terminals to go on the remote jump starting terminals
under the hood. The second is a matter of economy. Once the battery has reached 12.5 volts, there’s no real reason to run
the charger/maintainer 24 hours a day. I hooked mine to a timer
and have it turn on for 3 to 4 hours every night (when the
electric rates are cheapest) to keep it charged up. While
it’s true the circuitry in the charger will eventually drain the
battery if the unit is left connected when the unit is not
powered, the actual current flow is only a few milliamps per
hour, and charging 4 out of 24 hours has kept the battery at
12.5 volts for the last two months. With this in mind I’d add a
programmable timer circuit to the unit.
