Tough, but Rewarding
I tried this fast as a way to investigate a suspected food allergy and to just reset my body.

During the fast:
I had caffeine headaches for the first 2 days but these went away. Day 2 was the hardest by far - got a little easier after that. My sense of smell increased so that I could smell a neighbor’s grill 2 blocks away. Unlike some reviewers, I had a drop in energy. Some tasks took me longer to complete due to lack of focus. I realized how much of eating is either social or due to boredom. While I definitely went through periods of hunger, some of it was due to routine. Didn’t experience too many side effects: face broke out just a little, bathroom visits were few (but substantial), dry skin and hair.

After the fast:
Did feel more focused and energetic, although true energy levels took a couple days to reset 100%. Took a few more days off from jogging.
Lost weight in face and stomach. I’m guessing the lack of salt helped decrease face puffiness. Stomach must have shrunk, since I fill up with smaller meals not. Will slowly work coffee, wine, etc back into diet, but will be more deliberate about it.

Overall:
An effective product that taught me alot about how I treat food. I found that a strict routine helped me get through the week. I made a grid listing out every fasting “meal” and what to take. Made a dedicated area on the table for this so I didn’t have to think too much when my focus was low.

Feel lighter, cleaner and more energetic in 5 days!
I just can’t get enough of this fasting program. I have been on it 3 times in the past year and have experience exceptional results each time! I feel so clean internally afterwards, plus I have higher levels of energy and clarity of thought. As a result of fasting I have eliminated the need to take anti-inflammatories and have discovered that I am allergic to dairy products. The 5 days of fasting takes a lot of self-control, but the results are worth the effort! I haven’t experienced any problems during my fasts, no headaches or shakes. I didn’t even get hungry - probably a result of the appetite control tablets in the kit. I think the most difficult part and the most important part of each of my fasts have been “breaking the fasts”. You need to be careful about what foods to introduce back into your diet and when to add them. I usually start back on very bland fruits, vegetables and brown rice. Each day I add something new. I am very careful to drink plenty of purified water (8 - 10 cups) each day during and after the fast. I would highly recommend fasting - but if you have any medical problems or are on medication it is very important to seek medical advice before fasting!! I started my first fast and ended it with my doctors advice all along the way. Since then I have done the other fasts on my own. I really love how I feel during and after the fasts - it’s amazing!!

Tough one!
I am a first time user and it was TOUGH! I was just too hungry. I think that a week or so before you start you should start cutting down on calories because it is such a shock on you body. I drank organic juices along with all the water that is required and it will fill your stomach but not satisfy the hunger. By day 3 I had a cup of steamed veggies for dinner. The fiber is not too bad if you take it with juice. The pills can be an overload after a while, but all that is nothing compared to the starvation feeling I had during the week.

Overall the product works because I noticed a big difference in my bowel movements even though I cheated by eating veggies and fruits. I would do it again but I would have to be more disciplined in my diet before starting it.

Triathlon name is misnomer - but good monitor otherwise
The watch has “Triathlon” below the Ironman label, and the manual states it is a triathlon training tool. However, this monitor will not work while swimming. It is an excellent tool for cycling and running, and the review mode is very helpful in recording workout information. I called Timex when the heart rate monitor failed to function in the pool after re-reading the manual to see if the problem could be pilot error. Instead, Timex warranty personnel told me the watch did not work while swimming and was not intended to and there was nothing they could do about the problem. (Not very courteous in providing that information as well.) He also added none of the monitors will work in water. This is incorrect as Polar monitors work quite well while swimming. At the advertised price on Amazon, this is a very good value, and if you don’t need it for swimming, it is very good. I bought the monitor specifically for cycling and swimming, and I still considered keeping it because the other features of the watch are excellent.

Considering a new watch? This is the one!
This watch is all that I ever needed! I am a semi-serious runner, training between 15-30 miles per week. I think that this watch works great for my level, and for anybody above or below it. I don’t find myself needing a $350 watch with GPS - I’m just not that obsessive. What I DO want is a watch that has an accurate heart rate monitor, an easy-to read screen, and all of the split/lap/review/interval settings of the really expensive watches.

There are multiple settings based on the way you want to use this watch. If you want it to train you (using alarms, target heart rate, calorie counter), it will tell you how hard to go. Also, if you just want to maintain a level of comfortable fitness without training hard, I still think that this watch is helpful and not overwhelming.

This watch is really easy to use, though it did take about 1.5 hours to set it up completely from start to finish (I had to figure my heart rate settings - some of you may already know yours). Once it’s set up, the buttons and the screens are SO easy to navigate. The heart rate setting has three different screens for your personal preference - 1. large heart rate reading, small clock above. 2. large clock with small heart rate reading above. 3. large heart rate reading with small chrono lap-time reading above. Very useful depending on what you need to be looking at while on the move.

Also, the watch and the heart rate monitor are very comfortable. I don’t have to cut myself in half to get the monitor to read my pulse! It fits comfortably above my sports bra strap.

This is the best running watch for the money that I’ve found. I have not purchased the computer kit that you can use with it, but judging by the watch, I’m sure it’s great, too!

Good HRM
I’ve been using a Polar F11 for years now, and I’ve stuck with it despite the difficulty in changing the battery and in navigating its menus because Polar came out with the fabric chest straps a while ago, and they are great. However, the battery died recently, and the thought of hassling with the battery change yet again was so discouraging that I researched other HRMs and bought this Timex. I have used Ironman watches for a few years and have been so happy with them that the Ironman HRM seemed promising. After a few uses, I’m quite happy with the purchase. A few nice aspects: the data is much easier to read than on my Polar. You can make your HR, HR percent, elapsed time, or time dominant and quite large while still having the other data displayed. The Illuminight works well. The watch is pretty good-looking (whereas the Polar was pretty ugly. Polar’s facelift of the higher end models in the last year or two hasn’t helped much in my opinion). The menus are much more intuitive than Polar’s. The chest strap, while less comfortable than Polar’s fabric one, is fine. The ventilated band breathes well. I haven’t tried changing the batteries yet, but it has to be far easier than with the Polar, which is a bad joke. I also love the count-down timer, which I use to time my resting periods while lifting weights. On the negative side, the Polar would blink and/or beep when your HR was out of your prescribed range. I know my zone 3 numbers, so it’s not a big deal. The main negative is the band. If it breaks (as one of my Ironmans did), you have to replace the whole watch. It’s integrated into the watch body. I plan to be gentle in taking it off and on in order to reduce wear and tear. My old Ironman broke at the point where the band would get folded back when inserting the buckle’s tab. Also, if you are a data freak, my understanding is that Polar’s ability to download, etc. is better. I’m into knowing my numbers while on the bike and after the workout, but I don’t keep records, so I can’t speak to that feature. Overall, A-.

microforce shaver does not work
The Microforce Shaver doesn’t work as a shaver. Maybe you can give it to your kids as a toy, but if you want to shave with it then don’t buy it. We have scams all over the place and this product has to be worst ever. Not that you would want to, but if you tried to shave your eyebrows or eyelashes you can’t even do that. The only reason I tried is because I wanted to see if could do it. Please don’t waste your money.

Microforce…3 quick points……..
1. Does not have a trimmer.

2. Beard must already be close for Microforce to work well.

3. Other than the 2 points above, it is a VERY good razor that cuts as close as anything I have ever used and because of the size, it maneuvers well around the face. I highly recommend it but you may need another razor to get you short first. After that, you can use it daily and be very pleased!!

Save Your Money
The micro force razor does NOT remove wiskers or hair from your face. All is does is vibrate. One more worthless product made in China. Save your money.

Diapers
I use the diapers as burp clothes for newborns and personalize them with my embroidery machine. This diaper is made of good quality and weight and should not pill like the cheaper products.

I read all the comments about these diapers, and I am amazed at how many people have complaints about their quality as a diaper.

I have triplets, and my husband and I are using these for our diapering. The Chinese and Indian prefolds are significantly more costly and with the amount of diapers we need for triplets it would be overwhelming to consider buying them; however, that being said, we used a diaper service for the first three months of our babies being home from the hospital. Of course they provided DSQ (diaper service “quality”) Chinese prefolds. Immediately after we switched over to these my husband asked what I thought. We both agreed that while these become soaked SO DID THE CHINESE PREFOLDS! I don’t know whose babies do not soak any cloth diapers, but our babies go through both types of cloth diapers with every feeding.

Maybe some people are not wanting to change as frequently as cloth diapers require, but coupled with plastic/vinyl overpants these work great for us. We change our babies every three to four hours, and we have no leaking and no diaper rash issues. At night we use a home-made insert as a doubler, and my understanding is that any cloth diapers require this at night. My babies make it through the entire night without leaking and no diaper changes until morning.

As one other person mentioned, I did pre-wash these diapers the typical recommended five to ten washes to prepare them for use. I also launder them on two cycles every two days, and I don’t have any of the pilling or rough problems others have described.

As an economical choice I think these diapers are functional as diapers, and as far as I can see they are not less useful that the DSQ diapers we used. We will continue to use these and purchase more as they wear, but for half the price or less than Chinese or Indian prefolds these are perfect for our triplet household. My husband and I were both cloth diaper babies, and I KNOW my mother did not buy Chinese or Indian prefolds to use. I was in this type of diaper until I potty-trained super early, and I never had diaper rash so I feel positive about this product.

scratchy. This item purchased elsewhere is much softer.
These Gerber Diapers usually make great burp rags (and are not at all good as cloth diapers). This package, however was very scratchy. I purchased some a week later at Target which were very soft and what I expected from the product. I wouldn’t purchase this item through Amazon again because of the quality.

Flexible Massager
We enjoy the Trinity 7 Speed Massager for a variety of reasons. Its so versatile. With its multiple speeds we can turn up the power for extra stimulation or use the lower speeds to work out the kinks. High quality construction throughout and nicely packaged.

A good purchase!
We enjoyed this multispeed wand massager in a number of ways. The head of the wand is soft and flexible, and was great on the lower settings for massaging the shoulders and back. The speeds easily increase for more stimulation, with the highest speed being just what we needed to bring a little something extra to the bedroom. We have had no issues with the motor and have been using it now for a few months.

Great product!
I bought this product for our trip to the Carribean. It worked beautifully on all parts of my body. The 7 speeds allowed for precision pleasure control. I thought the motor was powerful and produced great vibrations.
