Nice and cheap soccer cleats…
I bought these shoes mainly to use for football and it gives good grip. I’ve never owned cleats or soccer shoes before and these definitely made a difference compared to regualar gym shoes. I ended up buying two of these to get the free super savings shipping and the cost came to about $46 shipped. I just saw these sames shoes at a local Sports Authority and they had it for about $44 so I pretty much got two of these for the price of one! My only complaint is the lack of padding inside the shoes but thats probably because they are soccer shoes and not football shoes.. I would definitely recommend these shoes..

Great shoe
We bought this shoe for our high school son and he loves them. They look great and perform great. We didn’t want a shoe that cost alot because he will be outgrowing them soon. He is getting a lot of good use out of them.

Blisterer
Pretty nice cleats except for the white flapping tongue.
Although i hurt my hamstring at my first game with these cleats i still like em. Just make sure u ease into these cleats when u get them brand new or else its blisters, or a sprained ankle… or worse… a hamstring strain!!!

Comfy and kewl
these boots are comfy despite the rather high heel. They are fashion forward if the top is showing, and standard if the top is not revealed.

Well made, the ankle did not provide any rubbing or annoyance when wearing. My only trouble was being delicate with the zipper when putting on.

Fantastic boots!
I absolutely love these boots. Very fashionable, comfortable (for a high heel), and cute! I’ve gotten tons of compliments on them. The toe box is nice and roomy, and the back zipper makes them easy to get on and off. I bought them in black, but now I’m very tempted to get another pair in grey.

Oh Yes! Let me tell you ladies these boots are show stoppers. I just got the boots yesterday and yes, I wore them the very next day…lol. I got them in grey size 9 and received complement after complement and yes I’m not ashame to say when I saw the boots online and in person I knew I would. The overall quality is ok, its the style, price, and color (I wanted some grey leather boots oh so bad) that sold me. My only set back is I wish I would’ve went a half size up, they fit a bit snug but oh well, I’ll just break them in. It’s worth it.

Dr. Scholl’s Dance Clogs
I bought these because they aren’t leather, not because I was crazy about their appearance. I now have them in brown, black, pewter, and blue because they are lightweight and comfortable. They do run a bit small as others have mentioned. I’d recommend getting one size larger than your normal shoe size (this also helps to prevent the squeaking). The heel is narrow and because of their height it took me a little while to navigate in them with speed. They’re sturdy, let your feet breathe, and are easy to clean. A nice alternative to the ubiquitous “Crocs.”

these shoes just arrived and are really cute. I got the grey, they are exactly as pictured and fit to size. They bounce! …are really stylish and I can’t wait to wear them around the city. Really comfortable. Make no mistake, they are definitely plastic. They are like crocs on crack.

I live Orlando, Fl. I have been doing hair for 26yrs. and never have I had such comfort out of a shoe as the comfort these shoes give me. expensive but nothing else quite like it
I’ve been carrying Le Sportsac bags for years - mainly because they’re sturdy and lightweight. Overpriced at retail - but I’ve been lucky enough to find them in “discount” type stores in the past (Ross, Marshalls, etc.) and occasionally a good buy at department store sales.Some stores manufacturers have copied them - the handle, fabric are not quite up to LeSport sac specs.
This black “patent” or shiny finish does double duty for travel - it holds everything - including my camera - and I can carry it all day and have no problem carrying it to an evening performance - concert or theatre. Since I travel abroad with only a 21 inch carryon - space and weight are paramount concerns. The purse fits into my shoulder tote - no problem worrying about scrunching it up and thus enables me to clear TSA check with the one bag and one personal item.
P.S. I never cease to be amazed at women who carry large handbags with hardware (buckles, trim) that weigh close to 5 or 6 pounds - this added to all the stuff inside!

Great everyday purse
I don’t normally carry a purse this large, but I’m a Lesportsac nut, and there’s not much between this one and the little “Ellie.” Still, it’s so lightweight that I don’t mind carrying it. The shoulder strap is very comfortable, and it is nice to have the extra room.

My only complaint is that the front zipper compartment would’ve been more useful if it had been split into 2 smaller compartments. The things I want handy (cellphone, lipstick, gum) go in there, and they get all mixed up together because it’s just one long compartment. This is the way they make the “Deluxe Everyday Satchel,” but that one only seems to come in boring solid colors, and is hard to find even then.

i love these bags!
if i wasn’t so lazy about switching bags, i would have one in every color.

pros:

lightweight nylon - even after you get all your crap in there

roomy

nice amounts of pockets - two identical large ones on either side and a smaller one in the inside

ergonomic - fits well across the body and adjustable

perfect size - many messenger style bags seem to be too large to look cute

rigid - even though it’s nylon, it will hold it’s shape if you set it on the table.

stays clean

inexpensive

quality - mine have lasted forever

cons:

pockets too similar - on the classic hobo, the front and back pockets look identical. sometimes i have trouble guessing which one to access. would be nice if they could add something to differentiate them.

prints - wish there were more neutrals. goes back to my earlier point. i don’t like to hassle with switching my bag for every outfit. other than the solids, it would be great if there were some neutral prints added to the collection.

Used to be a good shoe but now worthless
I’ve worn New Balance shoes for walking since the late ’80s or early ’90s. They lasted years. Last fall I bought a new pair that started to fall apart within a few months (since I haven’t been taking daily walks for almost a year now, this was brought about merely by walking the dog and pushing a lawnmower around the yard). Another pair did the same thing, so I started hassling NB a couple of weeks ago. Told them the shoes looked like they had a bad sunburn, with a thin, rubbery white coating peeling and shedding from the synthetic foam underneath. It’s completely gone from the toe and much of the sides. Where’s the leather???

After getting several conflicting stories from the girls who answer the phones (and sending one pair of MX608s back to their laboratory for an ‘examination’), I finally received the following explanation from someone higher up:

“Thank you for contacting New Balance Consumer Support!

The tip, vamp, entire heel area and the quarters of the MX608 are all leather. It is called split leather because it is “split away” from the top layer, which is called full grain. The 2-3 layers you can split away from that are called split leathers. The surface of the split is treated with a pu coating and painted. Splits are real leather.

The mudguard area of the shoe is a synthetic material. This is the area along the sides directly above the midsole. If this area of the shoe is abrading, then what you are seeing could be the backing of the synthetic material which is made of compressed fibers.

Additionally, very few athletic shoes are made of top grain or full grain leather anymore. It is just too expensive. All of the 608s are made this way, so there should not be a difference among different pairs.”

This gave me enough information to start digging into the realities of “split leather” (or “bicast leather” as it is more commonly known). This is from Wikipedia:

“Bicast leather (also known as bycast leather, split leather or PU leather) is a split leather with a layer of polyurethane applied to the surface and then embossed. Bycast was originally made for the shoe industry and recently was adopted by the furniture industry. The resulting product is cheaper than top grain leather and has an artificially consistent texture and is easier to clean and maintain.

The use of the term ‘leather’ in relation to this bicast treatment is considered a misrepresentation and therefore not permitted in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Furniture made with bicast exhibits none of the characteristics associated with genuine leather; it will not develop a patina or suppleness nor otherwise “improve with age”. With constant use the polyurethane layer will crack and split free of its backing.

Modern technology permits up to 3 or 4 horizontal layers being taken from the one hide. The leather used in the backing of bicast is a thin, otherwise worthless, layer remaining after better quality layers have been removed for traditional leather work and contributes nothing to the look and feel of the end product.”

Nice.

That’s Wikipedia’s take, but the conclusions match those of professional leatherworkers as well. New Balance has changed from a durable real leather upper to a bicast “leather”, the use of which several countries have already ruled is deliberately misleading.

Shoe not made the same way anymore
I have bought the same mx608 shoe from amazon for 3 years.. finishing up my third pair now. I ordered these thinking I’d be getting the same thing.. I thought wrong. I guess the “v2″ on the label should have tipped me off. Anyways, the shoe feels like a piece of cardboard now. There is no support on the soles anymore (feels like you are walking on concrete). Nothing like the last 3 pairs of mx608’s I’ve had. Now I have to search around for another good supporting shoe. Why NB did you screw this up?

Sharp decline in quality
I’ve been wearing these black New Balance trainers for years. They have changed a few times but the quality was high. The last pair I bought will be the last pair I buy. First the dye bled and turned my white socks blue. Within a few months the shoes began to split at the seams. It’s sad to see a decline in quality this rapid.
