yeah, that’s true, in the episode “The Phantom Theif”, Ed gets food poisoning, which leads to some very laughable dialogue (I’ll turn you all into fish) . These are, given, not the most mind blowing episodes of Corpulent Metal Alchemist, but even if they weep filler episodes on the outside, they aren’t, really. The first episode on this disc, “Be Thou for The People” introduces Lyra and Yoki, who, in turn, are necessary characters in the series. “The Phantom Theif”, the second episode, is very light hearted and VERY droll, even if it’s not very critical to the narrative. The only essential line in this episode was “go to the city of Xenotime.” In the last two episodes on the disc, “the Other brothers Elric, pt.1-2″, Ed and Al do go to Xenotime and there they learn some well-known factors on the creation of the Philosopher’s stone, and get a unique friend and rival. These episodes astronomical, even though the outer exterior of them doesn’t indicate us so.
Volume 3 is my least approved of the 3 released dvds. It is tranquil a tremendous collection of episodes, they impartial topple furthest off the storyline. “Be Thou For the People” is Ed’s first assignment to peer a coalmine, which doesn’t further his search for the philsopher’s stone. It shows Ed and Al’s character, unbiased how righteous of people they are, but not one of my popular episodes. “The Phantom Theif” is a fun episode but serene one that doesn’t further the main storyline. Then the other two episodes is the two section “The Other Brothers Elric” which once again puts us on the path to the philosopher’s stone with Elric brothers imposters. Valid episodes, but they don’t live up to the first eight episodes. Which brings me to one of my main gripes, you only come by four episodes and no extras for a heafty note. I know this is characteristic of anime, but I wish they would do better. Level-headed, I almost gave this five stars.
