As the title suggests, this anime far exceeds my initial expectations. Having seen War in the Pocket, Stardust Memories, Gundam Hover and a few others, I’m no stranger to this genre but I had my reservations about this anime due to disc complaints and possible over dramatization.

Thankfully, I did not have disc problems. I did observe a few minor scratches and expected the worse, but they were dragons I never had to ruin. In regards to drama, this anime is emotionally charged, but in a righteous contrivance.
This is a well conceived anime to the point where you will be pulled through a colossal range of emotions as a result of how the indicate unfolds. You’ll pick up yourself anxious, frustrated, gay, dusky - the whole gambit. I’m not into spoilers, so I’ll merely say there were points where I almost looked up what happens online because I couldn’t conception the episodes quick enough - that’s how involving it is.
