awesome bat for 20 bucks
when you pay 20 dollars for a bat you cant really expect that much, this bat hits better than the 250 dollar bats the people on our team were hitting with.. we love it

Most bat for your money
For $20 this bat does anything you can ask of a $20 bat, and more. I bought this bat expecting to use it for line drives and playing small ball, but I decided to give a few big swings and actually hit this further than the $200 bats I was using earlier in the game. I don’t know how it will hold up tho as I’ve only had it for a week. No complaints thus far.

Good Bat for the Price
The Hammer by Easton is a good bat for the price. It is light, easy to swing and the ball jumps off it. You can’t beat it for the price.

Excellent– and I’m a cheapskate that’s hard to fit
These are outstanding shoes/sandals. I am very hard to fit because my feet are very wide near the toes, so I always dread buying shoes. I usually have to buy shoes and extra 1/2 to 1 size too large to deal with my wide feet, but these fit perfectly in my true size. Great roomy toe space! I couldn’t be happier. I’m planning to buy at least one extra pair in case they phase these out.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: JUNE 2009. I took these as my sole shoes on a three-week trip to Greece. They’re great, but the soles (on both!) started to come off! I was able to glue them, so I got by, but I was very disappointed to have that happen on these expensive shoes. HOWEVER, I’d still give 5 stars because Teva is replacing them. It only cost me the $10 it took to ship them to Teva. Great customer service rocks.

Light, Comfy, Pleased so far
Have had a pair of the Omniums for about a month now. I take about an 11 1/2 size and ordered the 12. Fit is great. Very adjustable from loose to snug with front & rear velcro & lace thingys. Mostly been hiking in the woods, roads, & in the stream a little. Pretty nice for jogging thanks to the cush in the heel.
Likes: Lite weight, adjustable, comfy, great traction, water resistant / quick drying, no socks needed.
Dislikes: They will pick up small rocks - I need to stop at least once an outing to empty them out. Stones get trapped & you can’t get them out without taking the shoes off. They are a little funky looking also, but hey, who isn’t.
Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable but…
First off, very comfortable shoe. I’ve been wearing them almost daily for 2-3 months. But not much outdoor use, mostly to work and back. Not heavy use at all, and only a few months.
So the other day when I had to break out the hot glue gun to start gluing the heel back on in several spots, I was a little disappointed. I see another reviewer was having the same problem. If you look at the picture, the dark part of the heel on the side was coming off, along with the dark part on the side ball of the foot.
As long as the glue holds, I’ll keep wearing these because they’re just a nice shoe to wear. But I’ll wonder a bit in the future if I go to purchase another pair.

Beware Buyer
I read the reviews, debated whether I should order this item, figured the problem had been corrected, and bought this mat anyway. Result: a disappointed buyer. The description plainly stated it was a Body Solid Super Mat RF36T Treadmill Mat with a “lifetime warranty.” Actually, it is a Supermat, Inc. product (the box has their location as Elk River, Mn. 55330), and the insert sheet within the box specifies it only has a “1 year warranty.” The package itself does have a small barcode sticker with RF36T on it, but nowhere does it state on the box or packaging inside the box that the mat is a Body Solid product. As of the time of my review (2/12/2010), I am the third buyer who purchased this product primarily because it was supposed to have a “lifetime warranty.” Three strikes and you’re out. I love Amazon, and frequent their site often. I have always rated them highly. However, this should not be happening. The problem could be remedied if the description was changed to accurately reflect the stated warranty within the box itself; also, whether it is actually a Body Solid mat or a Super Mat. Regretfully, I’m returning the product for a refund, and will continue to search for a mat for my treadmill.

UPDATE: 2/25/2010 THE DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN CORRECTED TO REFLECT THAT THERE IS A “ONE YEAR WARRANTY” AS OPPOSED TO THE PREVIOUS “LIFETIME WARRANTY.” THIS SATISFIES ME, AND I WOULD RATE IT DIFFERENTLY AS A RESULT. THANKS AMAZON FOR THE CORRECTED DESCRIPTION. TWO THUMBS UP!

Well, it’s a mat…
I’m using this mat under an elliptical. It’s not very thick (maybe ~1/4″), but it does the job and hasn’t ripped or torn.

does exactly as advertized
I have very little to add…this carpet is very nice, does exactly what is intended, and feels comfortable to the feet walking on it. If you get a treadmill, I would highly recommend this product.

I LOVE THIS BELT!!!
In the last few weeks I’ve been experiencing SERIOUS lower back pain. I went to the DR. who only prescribed, heat, muscle relaxers, pain pills and physical therapy. The next day,I told my daughter’s pt about my back. She told me it was the SI joint and gave me this belt to try. MAN, what a difference. I can finally move around without being in agony!!!

Provides stability and makes workouts pain free
I’ve had SI problems for 8 years. When I finally found an orthepedic dr. who could correctly diagnose my problem I was thrilled! I had pain from my 3rd cervicle all the way to my left ankle (only affected one side). My SI joint was put back in place (not pleasant) as were the cervicles in my neck. I walked sideways for a while but physical therapy helped and my core was finally stable enough to provide the support I needed. After having a baby and starting a new running program the SI pain came back and I started searching onine for a solution. I got the belt this week and today I used it during a training session. I was suprised at how well it stayed in place even though I was moving and sweating so much. I was exhausted afterward, but I had NO pain in my lower back, knee, and ankle! It’s amazing how well this belt works. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts is because it wasn’t very comfortable to wear while sitting. While I was on the floor stretching after my workout the belt was pinching the top of my leg. It may just be the way my body is shaped or putting on to tight, but that small amount of discomfort was worth it!

What I expected, only noisier…
I was happy to find that there is no assembly required. It was very easy to set up. It works fine, and is a very sturdy and good-quality piece of equipment. However, it is noisier than I thought it would be. Well, I did choose the cheapest bike trainer I could find, so maybe you get what you pay for.

Just what I wanted…. but loud
This is just what it should be, really, and maybe it deserves 5 stars for that. The instructions were confusing because there’s an extra unexplained part, but I figured it out (you don’t need the extra axle). I am not a serious biker; this is just to get some exercise w/o buying an expensive piece of equipment.

What I’d totally forgotten about what the noise a bike trainer makes (and this is the main reason I’m posting, in case you’ve also forgotten or didn’t know). Looking online just now, I’ve seen it likened to vacuum cleaning, and that’s about right. I’m not sure that any other bike trainer would be better on this front… maybe the rim trainers are.

Bottom line: this is fine. If you can deal with the noise, get it.

Update (a few years later): I don’t use this much any more, as I got an elliptical machine (which I prefer)… but I’ve realized this will be great for my summer away when I’ll have my bike with me anyway. And if it’s raining and I’d like some exercise, I’m all set.

To answer the question from the comment, it’s quite easy to put the bike in and out. If you look at the picture, there’s a faux axle squeezed between two pins/clamps at the top. The faux axle was the part that confused me (still don’t know why it’s provided. Your bike goes there, and you just tighten the pin/clamp things to hold the bike in place. The wheel rests on the part at the bottom which might need adjusting for your particular bike, but once that’s set, your bike will go in and out without much fuss.

Fantastic ! - Better than expected
I don’t have any other comparison, since this is the first I have ever purchased, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it just two days after I ordered with FREE shipping.

The trainer itself is solid and works better than I could have hoped for, cost a lot less than buying an exercise bike.

I am not a cyclist and bought this to simply turn a regular bike into an exercise bike.

There was zero assembly required, just unfold it and place your bike in, super easy, when you want to ride the bike out on the street, it’s free in less than 30 seconds.

The only con I would say about this, is that it is loud if you have nobby treaded tires, from the previous review, I can see how a smooth tire would quiet it down, You do or can get use to the noise of it, However, you can also release the tire from the tension roller an ride like a regular bike.

Highly Recommend, I don’t think you’ll be sorry on this one.

A great “left-handed monkey wrench” for stubborn bike pedals…
When it comes to stubborn bicycle pedals that don’t want to come off, it’s hard to beat the Park Tool Pedal Wrench, also known as a “PW-3.” This handy bike tool is made from Cro-Moly steel and which fits both 15mm and 9/16 inch pedals. This isn’t the normal wrench that one would find in a regular home toolbox, but when I found it at a yard sale this summer, where it was marked as a “left-handed monkey wrench” by the seller, I grabbed it. The owner must have not known what it was or what it was worth, as he sort of snickered when he took my money. Was going to buy one eventually, ever since I had seen it described in the Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair 2nd Edition, but I couldn’t pass on it when it was sitting there for a price that’s too embarrassingly low to mention.

So why would someone need a Cro-Moly steel PW-3 from Park Tool to just change bike pedals? Bike pedal threads are different from left side and right side. The right side pedal has a right-hand thread (removes counterclockwise, installs clockwise). The left side pedal has a left-hand thread (removes clockwise, installs counterclockwise). Many pedals are stamped “L” and “R” for left and right. Additionally, the thread will appear to slope up toward its tightening direction. Left hand threads slope up to the left, while right hand threads slope up to the right. Got that?

In any case, old bicycle pedals are often rusted on, requiring a few zaps of WD-40 to loosen them up, then a bit of good old-fashioned elbow grease applied with that Cro-Moly steel PW-3 wrench. As others have noted, one can slip a length pipe over the end of the wrench for additional leverage if needed. Once that’s done, the new pedals can be installed, reversing the removal procedure noted above.

And if I can’t remember which direction to turn the wrench (do I turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise…) to properly install the amazing new Avenir ATB Pedals, I can always refer to the new Park Tool Big Blue Book of Repair, 2nd Edition for good instructions from author Calvin Jones.

Some bike tools are really worth it, and this is one of them.

Great for stubborn pedals
I’ve only used the PW-3 on one bike so far — an old Trek 820 I bought used for $50 that had a broken pedal — and I chose the PW-3 over competing products in case I needed to slip a pipe over it for added leverage. Sure enough, I did need the pipe, but the PW-3 and pipe together broke the pedals loose, so I was able to finish unscrewing them by hand. I would not have been able to do this with a double-ended or wide-handled wrench.

Necessary pedal tool!
I bought this to help a friend switch some pedals on a trainer that had the pedals ‘Loctited’. This was the only tool that could put enough force on those pedals to loosen and remove them. (Pedal threads would normally be greased.)
