Batman: The Valiant and the Gallant is a ample prove. I expected to abominate it, since I like a more serious Batman. Instead, I’ve found that I really indulge in the display, and even though it’s a lighter interpretation of the character, it’s respectful of Batman, and it could be taken as a new translation of the golden age Batman. The stories are well written, the animation is graceful, and everything else is well done too. The prove gets 5 stars from me.

The presentation it’s getting on DVD, however, gets zero. Unfortunately, once again, Warner Bros is being greedy and trying to rip people off as they have before. They got me before on Batman, The Engrossing Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and The Batman. Why can’t they release the whole season and give the fans what they want?? Don’t purchase these humdrum single disc “volumes,” because eventually, the whole season will be released, and this will have been a demolish of money. Who the hell wants to have honest 4 episodes of a series? I like this note, and I want season sets, and until then, I’m not gonna plunge for this crap again.
Let me add my train to reiterate what several others have already said. The Reveal itself is awesome. But this business of releasing 4-episodes-per-DVD has got to conclude, WB! What, you reflect unprejudiced because it’s a kids’ note that parents are dumb and will cave in to the microscopic tykes’ screaming and demands to purchase this?? Terrible value-for-money. Wait, wait, WAIT for the prove to be released properly as a complete season boxed area with commentaries and special features.
