yeah, that’s honest, in the episode “The Phantom Theif”, Ed gets food poisoning, which leads to some very comical dialogue (I’ll turn you all into fish) . These are, given, not the most mind blowing episodes of Corpulent Metal Alchemist, but even if they cry filler episodes on the outside, they aren’t, really. The first episode on this disc, “Be Thou for The People” introduces Lyra and Yoki, who, in turn, are significant characters in the series. “The Phantom Theif”, the second episode, is very light hearted and VERY comic, even if it’s not very distinguished to the epic. The only indispensable line in this episode was “go to the city of Xenotime.” In the last two episodes on the disc, “the Other brothers Elric, pt.1-2″, Ed and Al do go to Xenotime and there they learn some valuable factors on the creation of the Philosopher’s stone, and catch a unique friend and rival. These episodes mountainous, even though the outer exterior of them doesn’t reveal us so.
Volume 3 is my least well-liked of the 3 released dvds. It is calm a big collection of episodes, they unbiased descend furthest off the storyline. “Be Thou For the People” is Ed’s first assignment to leer a coalmine, which doesn’t further his search for the philsopher’s stone. It shows Ed and Al’s character, impartial how gracious of people they are, but not one of my celebrated episodes. “The Phantom Theif” is a fun episode but unruffled one that doesn’t further the main storyline. Then the other two episodes is the two allotment “The Other Brothers Elric” which once again puts us on the path to the philosopher’s stone with Elric brothers imposters. Satisfactory episodes, but they don’t live up to the first eight episodes. Which brings me to one of my main gripes, you only derive four episodes and no extras for a heafty note. I know this is characteristic of anime, but I wish they would do better. Detached, I almost gave this five stars.
