Moonlight is one of the best–if not the best–shows to arrive down the pike in a long while. The tiresome development of the relationship between Mick and Beth is heartbreakingly realistic. The exhibit is perfectly cast, well-written, and every episode is worth multiple rewatchings; ideal for DVD. Especially necessary in the supporting cast is Jason Dohring as Mick’s friend Josef, whose boyish righteous looks veil the wisdom of centuries. If you care for vampires, you will treasure Moonlight.
I am absolutely addicted to this present, which recently won the People’s Choice Award for Best Novel Drama, and deservedly so. This has got to be the sexiest and most modern vampire memoir to reach out in a long time, and I can yelp you that I am a vampire lover from Scheme help! Alex O’Loughlin is THE breakout star of the year, and he is perfectly cast as vampire detective Mick St. John, who struggles with accepting his fate as a self-proclaimed “monster” while acknowledging his very trusty, very human feelings for reporter Beth Turner.
