I can’t add anything to the praise for this film. If you appreciate Disney films, this is considered one of the classics. I honest wish to briefly comment on the criticism of the lack of a widescreen version. The first widescreen film, The King and I, was released in 1956. Previous to this all films were elephantine mask. Peter Pan, released in 1953, and a noble many of the Disney classics are only available in burly hide aspect. This is not the Pan and Scan alteration of an fresh Widescreen format. The device this film is presented on the DVD is the unique aspect ratio; Nothing has been altered. I have seen this so called criticism leveled against many Hollywood classics such as Casablanca, Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz. I have always had a fascination with this sage. As a kid I remember checking the Disney record book version out of the library week after week. When I finally got to discover it, I was enthralled. There is fair something magical about the anecdote. It’s partially the coming together of all the boyhood adventures in one plot. Mermaids, Indians, and Pirates? What more could any boy want? And, of course, the ability to waft. The “You can hover” sequence over London is one of my all time favorites. The whole movie really is curious very well with a tale that movies swiftly from situation to residence with lots of humor to retain everyone entertained and magnificent animation of the fanciful Never Land.
This special edition is worth tracking down. The narrate (novel chubby frame) is though-provoking and the surround sound is very nice. Extras include a documentary on the making of the movie and a promotional theatrical featurette from the recent release. The “audio commentary” is fresh. Hosted by Roy Disney, it consists of selections from interviews of the boom talent, live action models, animators, and animation historians. While not your usual commentary, it’s piquant stuff and well worth a listen. Finally, there’s a admire hunt game and DVD storybook for kids.

This movie level-headed brings a smile to my face and probably always will. Maybe my friends are honest when they say I appreciate this movie so noteworthy because I always wanted to be Peter Pan.
