does not wrap tightly, but helps wrist pain
After breaking my wrist multiple times I sometimes have bouts of extreme sensitivity and stiffness in my wrist. The only thing that seems to help is an ace bandage wrapped snugly for a few days. I purchased this wrap because I thought it would be easier to take on and off than an ace wrap. Overall I am happy with it, but it does not give me the firm support that an ace wrap does. It helps prevent me from slightly and suddenly twisting my wrist, and makes a big difference when writing or typing, but does not prevent my wrist from bending when I place more pressure on it (i.e. if I fall down and try to catch myself). Actually, I retain very good range of motion with this brace on- not really what I look for in a support brace. It works for mild wrist discomfort, but for the bad pain and stiffness I still rely on a metal brace or ace wrap to prevent any bending.

conclusion: buy if you need minor support and you want to retain your range of movement, don’t buy if you are looking for the support of an ace wrap or if bending/twisting your wrist makes your pain worse as this will not prevent that.

Save your wrist.
Medical treatment always make people broke. This will help your wrist,comfortable wearing.I ‘m using one for myself one gave to my friend. Grade more than 3 stars.

Worked great for mee!
Had a bad case of tennis wrist after 3 days of intense tennis..was swollen up and i was worried re: being out of action for a couple of months. Decided to buy a couple of compression wraps..this being one of them..magically [tho i am sure lot had to do with the fact that i probably didn’t hurt myself as bad as i thought i did] within a few days am fully healed! The wrap was VERY easy to put on and manage and did a nice job keeping the wrist stable..I’m a happy camper!

I LOVE the Kettlebell Workout though the DVD has a lot to be desired…
I had never heard of the kettlebell workout but through a random search on Amazon I found it and was intrigued. There were very few reviews but the premise sounded like something I would enjoy so I took a shot and ordered it.

In order for you to make a well informed decision in regard to purchasing this product or not I want to share with you my fitness level as well as my experience using the Kettlebell and Video in comparison to other fitness activities as well as who I personally think could benefit from this and who I think shouldn’t consider it.

My Fitness Level And What Size Kettlebell
I have a recumbent exercise bike at home and I workout on that at least 5 days a week. I do 1 hour on the bike at least 3 days a week (sometimes 5) and the other days I never do less than 45 minutes I also use 2-3 pound hand weights for half the time I am on the bike. After I get off the bike I then do some floor exercises and hand weights between 3 and 5 pounds each. Prior to starting this fitness routine which I gradually worked up to over 8 months ago, I was recovering from some very serious health problems. Prior to that I had been in excellent shape most of my adult life always working out at the gym. Moving on…I ordered the 10 pound kettlebell and I am thrilled with that amount of weight, it’s actually the perfect amount for me. Any heavier, I would not be able to do it and think I could easily injure myself. So, I personally think if you are in excellent shape and used to lifting weights you MAY want the 15 pounder but the exercises you will be doing with the KB are so different that I think it would be much better for most people to work up to the higher weight and not jump in with the 15 pound size.

The Exercises
So, the exercises you will be doing with the kettlebell are full range of motions with both arms, and a TON of squats. I have been using the kettlebell after I get off of the bike and can tell you currently I can’t last more than 15 minutes. I personally subscribed to working up to things so I felt great after I finished, I will continue doing the bike then the kettlebell for 15 minutes for 1 week and then move up to 20 or 25 minutes etc…

The Workout
For me, this is one serious workout workout. What I mean by that is, this is no step class or kickboxing, this is super hard core. Again, for my physical state this is how I experience the workout. Now if you are in much better shape than me, it will be easier for you or if you are just starting an exercise routine it will be harder…it’s all relative. The moves you perform really need to be done with absolute correct form and that is what I really concentrate on in order to get the most out of it. The proper form is not difficult to get the hang of at all. And, like all other exercises, you should go at your own pace.

The DVD
This is the biggest disappointment. I thought the DVD was going to be a real workout type of DVD where it was entertaining and there would be a class you were following or at least an instructor. No, that’s not the case. Basically there is a woman performing the exercises who does not speak, rather the instructor speaks but is not seen. WEIRD. There are also breaks between each exercise. It’s very boring and I mean VERY boring. But, here’s the good part. The DVD does teach you how to do each exercise properly and really that’s all you need. I don’t need to watch someone to motivate myself, I am very motivated plus you really can’t have the correct form if you are watching someone as you are doing some of these moves. What I do is I tape a ton of shows that I never get to watch that are the real riveting types that I’m very interested in….i.e. American Justice, Mystery Diagnosis or one of my favorites Animal Precinct and I watch those when I am doing my bike or my weights or the Kettlebell and the time flies. I basically use the Kettlebell as another weight and cardio workout along with my bike and I just follow the proper form doing numerous repetitions; it’s working out great for me. I *may* buy another DVD but I doubt it - though if you enjoy those - I would say go for it because the one that comes with the kettlebell is limited.

Who Should And Who Shouldn’t
Anyone interested in exercise and enjoys the convenience of working out at home should definitely get this. I love it and it’s REALLY good exercise and I can’t possibly see someone not getting into better shape with this. If you have knee problems, I would not recommend this to you unless you have no problems with squats. If you want to tighten your booty and tone your arms and legs… ORDER NOW!!

The Kettlebell workout is such a fantastic change from the usual; it’s a lot of fun, challenging and an excellent overall workout. The KB itself is very small and easy to store almost anywhere. I can recommend this workout without reservation, just concentrate on your form and take it slow! I truly hope this review has been helpful in your decision to purchase The GoFit KettleBell (10 LB) and DVD set or not, I’m thrilled with mine and look forward to doing it every day!

GoFit 10 Pound Yellow Kettlebell
I enjoy following the Iron Core exercise routine with the kettlebell. It’s a lot of squats, which normally bother my knees, but somehow swinging the kettlebell must help with form. My knees haven’t bothered me, and, I mean, you really do lots of squats. It gets my heart rate right up there, so it’s good aerobic exercise at the same time as strengthening your muscles. My neck and shoulders feel better and I can feel less fat in that area. I bought a follow along exercise DVD at Target once I had the basic idea down from the enclosed DVD.

great way to start kettlebells
I have lifted weights for several years; but a recent article in FITNESS magazine made me curious to try kettlebells. Not knowing anything about them, I went to Amazon and ordered the 10# with dvd,and the booklet. I am now using a 15# kettlebell, on my own. I highly recommend the GoFit kettlebell & dvd. You really need to learn the moves and correct form, but kettlebells are one heck of a workout. I dont use resistance bands, or dumbbells much anymore. I am 56, am losing body fat, and overall I feel better and stronger in my back and legs than I have in a long time. These GoFit ‘kits’ are well worth the money. Go for it!

Very Nice
Product came fast and is very good quality. Don’t know why the other guy needed lag bolts - it works fine with the bolts that come with it. I’d think you’d want to go all the way through the joist as long as you’re drilling four holes anyway - stronger.
At first I thought it should have padding but after two weeks weeks my hands got used to it and now I’m glad it doesn’t have padding.

Easy to set up, accurate, user friendly. Just took it for a test drive this morning. Shipping was fast and friendly. Nice user manual. Very explanatory.

Put in your vitals, adjust the strap around your chest and put the pedal to the metal.

I burned 511 calories — 45% from fat. For 49:51 minutes of work, I spent 14:46 minutes in the 144-160 beats per minute range; with my heart rate topping out at 178 (93% of my maximum for the “moderate training zone”). My average heart rate was 151 for the duration (79% of my maximum). The alarm cued me when to step it up and also when to back it down so I could keep on a better training track.

Apparently, I’ve been working too hard in the past. Because just as the HRM was yelling at me to back down, I was thinking, “Geez, touchy thingie! I can go way harder and higher than this!” But if it improves my stamina, all the better.

I would recommend reviewing the product manual and setting up your customizations the night before if you are an early morning exerciser. Setup and familiarization with the product/material takes about an hour.

great product….but polar will getcha in the end
So, I purchased the F6 in October of 2006. I use it for cycling and on aerobic machines and it really works great. No complaints about performanace at all and it does a nice job of tracking exercise. I paid $99.95 for the product, which seemed sorta high, but I wanted a reliable product from a good name. Well…in August 2007, the transmitter stopped working. Despite the “2 year” warranty stated above, that does not cover batteries, which apparently was the transmitter problem. So, I sent it back to Polar to fix it…but they can’t fix it, they can only replace it. All said, it cost me $52 plus my shipping costs to fix. The “replacement” was clearly not new. I’m not sure if it was mine, but it definitely was not new. So, in less than a year, I’ve had to shell out about $160 and, if the battery dies again six months from now, I guess I’ll have to go through this again. I would not but another Polar product.

work smarter and harder - worth every penny
I always knew that I should be hitting 65% to 85% of my maximum heart rate while exercising, and I knew that I was sometimes, but this little gadget showed me how far off the mark I was. I had to double my cardio workouts in order to get into the zone where I needed to be to lose weight. Now, I am seeing real results. That knowledge alone was worth the price. Most of us overestimate how hard we work out, spend a lot of time at the gym, and then get frustrated at the lack of results. With this gadget I am able to make my workouts effective not just long and energy consuming.

The features on the A5 model are numerous enough to make this a great toy, and few enough as not to make it too complicated. This model is reccomended by Polar as one for for people looking to lose weight and increase overall fitness. This is not a model for the serious “data junkie” who wants to store all of their workout data in a spreadsheet. I don’t think that this is a model for cyclists either. This is a model for someone who wants to know how many calories they’ve burned, time in their target workout zone, BMI, % of maximum heart rate being reached, and heart rate. You can also perform a fitness test with this model, and that is an interesting feature.

This model comes with a transmitter. The product specifications were not clear about whether or not it came with one. I was confused about that, and ended up purchasing an extra, albiet better, transmitter. The transmitter that came with the A5 does not look comfy, the front part that goes over your chest is made of flexible rubber and the back part is a fabric strap. The extra one that I ordered (for $45) is a totally fabric model called the WearLink, that has one small plastic piece in the front. So, I would suggest you buy a more comfortable mostly fabric transmitter, if you plan to wear it alot.

The Perfect Starter Set
As a disc golf beginner, I have found this set to be great for the new disc golfer. Compared to other sets I have used, this one seems to be superior and has the essential discs. Sturdy table for a big guy
I purchased this table for lower back trouble I’ve been suffering for some time now. At 6 ft. 285 lbs I needed something durable. The table arrived 3 days earlier than expected, which was a god-send. It took all of 10 minutes to put together and 3 minutes to figure out how to use it. The third day of use at just a 30 degree tilt for about 6 minutes I got the pleasant “pop” in my low back that had eluded the chiropractor for last 3 sessions and felt great all day. My wife and 3 boys all use it now and love it. The boys range in height from 6′2″ to 5′4″ and all can change the height on it in seconds. Great product for relieving tension and the youngest does reverse crunches on it for a good lower ab work out.

Good product but a few flaws
I bought this inversion table a month ago. I have mixed feelings with the product so far.

Positives:
I think this product is very well designed. The locking mechanism is an unique and valuable feature. In addition, the table feels sturdy and solid overall so you won’t feel insecure hanging upside down on it. The only one design flaw is the location of the headrest (as mentioned by another reviewer).

Negatives:
My table had a couple of defective parts - (1) the cap that covers the locking mechanism is broken; (2) the siding/ edge of the leg adjustment is chipped/ cracked; and (3) the screw/ screw hole that secures the ankle lock is loose/ cannot be tightened. Item (1) and (2) are no big deal as they are more for appearance but item (3)is very important as a loose ankle lock can lead to safety issues.

I had contacted Ironman to have part (3) replaced but they ended up shipping a wrong replacement part to me. I then submitted another request but so far (over 4 weeks) I still haven’t received the new replacement part and my followup emails inquiring about the matter has been unanswered.

Finally, after using this product for a month, the locking mechanism seems to be working less smoothly for some reasons - It just feels like it might break soon….

I think this inversion table has a lot of potential and I really want to like this product. However, the workmanship/ materials/ parts seem to be questionable so I cannot recommend it (although it just might be my bad luck/ that I got a lemon.)

I just recently purchased the Ironman Inversion System - nice, very nice!

5. Health Warnings (added because I didn’t see this anywhere until I read the manual).

About the inversion system

This is not my first inversion system; I have a Stamina Inversion Therapy Table where we spend our summers. I purchased that unit from Amazon in May 2007. If that model had been available, I would have just reordered it. Since that unit is no longer available, I had to search out a new inversion system.

The Ironman is better than the Stamina in several ways. Number one is the capability of locking the bed at desired angles.

1.) I like this when I’m in the inverted position because you can move your arms without the inversion system moving safely but annoyingly at the pivot. Also, because of my back problems at times when my back was really hurting I would lay on the floor with a pillow under my head. I thought I would try the Ironman locked in the horizontal position and by golly it works! I put my feet into the heel locks just as a safety precaution. Then I rotated the bed to the horizontal position and locked it. It is more comfortable than the floor but stiff enough that it works. I have also tilted it just beyond horizontal when my back is hurting. It feels good but I still have not decided how long to stay in that position.

2.) The foot holder is a lot more comfortable than my Stamina. It is mounted so that the orientation and position of what they call the “Heel Holder” is just right.

There are some minuses.

I like the head rest but this one is not adjustable. Ironman should fix this. I removed one bolt and rotated the headrest to an ideal position for me.

The Ironman folds up but it is big and heavy. If you have to put it away this inversion system probably isn’t the unit for you.

The Ironman Inversion System comes in a big box and it is heavy. The UPS guy brought it into my home and put it in the room where I wanted to set the unit up. I am an engineer and when I opened the box it scared me and I am fearless. I got my electronic camera and took several pictures of the opened box and even marked all the Styrofoam blocks in case I had a problem with the unit. As it worked out, I didn’t have anything to fear. Every piece was wrapped. The screw, bolts, nuts and washers came mounted on one piece of cardboard held in place by shrink wrap plastic. Where possible they made sets by putting the nut and the washers on the bolts. Also on that board were the tools you need to put the unit together.

The part I was most concerned with - mounting the bed to the frame - turned out to be quite easy because it was designed for assembly by one person.

Regarding assembly; allow two hours. You have to take all of the parts out of the box before you find the manual at the bottom of box. When I looked at the manual I was comfortable everything would go together. The front and rear leg assemblies including the pivots were already together. I had to add the bed headrest, the boom that mounts the heel holders; these kinds of parts. Assembly is not a cake walk but if you follow the directions and are comfortable with a wrench in your hand, you should be able to assemble this unit.

Lay out the bolts in an area convenient to where you will be assembling the unit. Organize the bolts in the same relationship as the picture on Page 6 of the Manual. Do not disassemble the nut and the washer. They will be the right parts in the right quantity for each assembly position.

You can assemble the unit using just their tools. Although these are metric size nuts and bolts, the following are my tools that I used for assembly:
A 1/2 in. and 5/8 in. open end wrench
A Phillips screwdriver with a #1 and a #3 bit
A 10mm socket (3/8 in will work)

Assembly Steps that deserve comment

Step 1, Putting on the four feet - The directions do not refer to the F and the B decals on the feet. Put the F feet on the front and the B feet on the back.

Step 3, Place the bed into the frame - just as the picture shows. Insert the two #43 bolts with one washer on each side as shown in the instructions. Tighten lock nuts finger tight (they will just start). You will have to wiggle the bed to get the holes to line up. Don’t worry; they have plenty of play. Then insert the two #44 bolts with a washer on each side as per the directions and put the nylon nut on finger tight. This way you will have everything loosely assembled before you tighten anything down. Tighten the #44 nuts and bolts a little at a time alternating between the left and right bolt. Then tighten the #43 bolts in the same way.

Step 7, the instructions have an error. The washer is shown on the nylon nut side but it should be on the bolt head side. The nylon nut side has a very nice hex retainer for the nut built in. Position the lock nut in the retainer then tighten the bolt.

Step 8, Screw #80 - fasten snug and back off about ¼ turn.

Broken or missing parts

One little plastic part was chipped. No big deal; everything would work but thought I should get a replacement. How easy this was! I called the phone number shown on the manual; pushed the button for service and my call was taken by a human being. He started to ask for the order number but when he knew it was ordered from Amazon he asked for my zip code and was able to pull up my record. He told me I would receive the replacement part by mail. Note: if I have a problem I will amend this report.

The Saris Bones 805 2-bike trunk mount rack stylishly mounts on a cars trunk, securely holding two bikes. Made of curved adjustable plastic arms and legs, this rack will mount over most spoilers and holds each bike at slightly different levels. Worth every penny
I did a lot of looking before purchasing this rack. I ended up buying it at a local bike shop because I wanted to see it first. I have a Honda Accord coupe - 2 door - and the fit is just right for the car. We also have a van and the abiltiy to work on both is very handy. Setup is easy and the bikes are held firmly. I had used another rack previously that was loaned by a friend. It was very unstable compared to the Saris Bones…..

Excellent Rack
I have had a few different racks in the same price range. This is by far the BEST rack I have ever bought. The first time I used it, I traveled 600 miles- the bike didn’t move. It’s not hard to set up and really grips the bike - I highly recommend it.

Freaking Amazing!!
I have peripheral polyneuropathy, a degenerative disorder that causes numbness AND excruciating pain in my feet and lower legs. It is difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it. Think of feeling like you have thick socks on preventing you from feeling things, while at the same time you have electric, zinging pains feeling as if you are being shocked or stuck with needles. After being on my feet for as little as 30 minutes, I normally have excruciating pain for 1-6 hours afterward, frequently requiring a narcotic, as well as a hefty dose of Lyrica several times a day. I have been searching for the last 2 or 3 years for the perfect pair of shoes, and I think I may have found them at last!
I am a nurse practitioner, and I work anywhere from 8 to 24 hours at a time, with a lot of walking and standing in our busy, 56 bed neonatal unit. Halfway through the night, I’m having to take off my shoes and socks because the mere touch of them against my feet is more than I can bear. And then, several hours more after I get home before I can get comfortable and go to sleep. I have tried Z-coil, Crocs, Born…I just haven’t found one I like.
Then, a friend got a pair of these MBTs (in another style), and let me try them on the other day. IT WAS AMAZING. They totally change the impact of the shoe against the foot, with more of it coming at the arch, and less on my tender toes and heels. So, less toe and heel pain, and greater arch support. Genius!!!
Just incidentally, my husband washed my Crocs in really hot water, and they shrank. He forgot to tell me this before I left for my 16 hour shift last week. Just the slight increase in pressure on my feet made that shift horrible for me. And the next morning, I discovered these shoes. I went home, ordered a pair c overnight delivery so I would have them in time for yesterdays shift. My feet haven’t felt this good after a night like that in so long I cannot remember. I have taken nothing extra for pain in over 12 hours!! Hallelujah!!
I would imagine these will benefit many conditions–diabetic neuropathy, plantar fascitis, polyneuropathy, among others. Considering the benefits, the cost is more than reasonable. Anything that enables me to care for my patients in comfort is BRILLIANT!!!
Incidentally, I chose this particular style for the “cute” factor–It looks good with my scrubs at work, and I can still wear it with slacks or a long skirt. Yowza!!

Amazing! Gift from God
My first MBTs; these mary janes work for me and I have chubby feet. I do not find the straps too short and the heel does not slip up and down. I went with my regular shoe size even though I understand most people go a size up. They feel a little tight when standing, but when walking they are like extensions of my feet and feel great. I bought them in Seattle, walked (rolled) out of the store with them on and walked around the city the rest of the day. They did not take any “getting used to.” (I had been wearing more fashionable, but still practical shoes and my feet were aching.) A few days later I walked 3.5 miles uphill and downhill in them with no problems. Usually, my hip bothers me for the last mile or so, but not with these shoes on! And the walk went faster than usual and was much more fun. I got them in denim and they look great with dark jeans. I am so impressed with them that I am considering taking them on an adventure tour in Costa Rica for hiking. They seem to perform fine on rocks and uneven terrain.

Great for posture
I bought this through a regular store after reading that the nylon ones fall apart. This shoe has held up and is great for helping me stand up straight. It is a stiff material, a bit hot after wearing for long periods of time and the material does not “breath”.
