I’ll be the first to admit my bias in this review: I am a die hard Yu Yu Hakusho fan, with fanfiction to indicate it. When this final box dwelling arrived at my front door I was hyperventalating with excitement. But enough about me, on to the product. I have found that YYH, as a TV demonstrate, becomes better as it goes, and I view it was titanic from the launch. With this particular series, it is the characters and the writing that do it so unbelievable. This is suitable in the Three Kings saga more than any other; all the characters (especially the fan favorites, Hiei and Kurama) are effect into greater detail. Even Kuwabara, who unfortunately (yes, UNFORTUNATELY) does not appear distinguished in this tale arch has his fill development. In brief, these episodes are chock bulky of heart-wrenching, knee-slapping, and misty-eyed moments. The worst portion is to gawk it do, but as Yusuke states, “like days off of school, TV shows, and all pleasurable things”, this legend must approach to an ruin. (It’s ironic how this is my last day of Spring shatter and I’m reviewing the final episodes of YYH…)

This is a must prefer for any YYH fan, and if you are not a YYH fan, become one.

Where to start with this. Well first I don’t actually fill the box position but i do enjoy the uncut dvds. Also as expected if you haven’t watched the last hundred forty episodes that are prior to this box status you’ll be completely lost so don’t even try it. This series is not for kids, there are demons, grotesc death, people being beat to death that kind of thing, so withhold this out of the hand of the kiddes.

Now then where to commence. Yu yu hakusho is one of those rare series that rush over a hundred episodes and aloof hasn’t race out of steam by the kill of the series. As the last season of one of the greatest anime ever it finally reveals that past of two of the main chacters. All though one of the main characters is mia for most of the season, it actually works better that plot. it gives a rotund explaination for everyone’s action and their future leaving really no quiz unanswered, though leaves some things inaugurate for a sequal, someday maybe.

Now then onto the steady review. The animation is some of the best you can earn for the time peroid but it is nearly ten years obsolete so don’t be expecting yourself to be dazzeled. The music is flawless as are the sound effects. The exclaim acting really couldn’t win better each fit their characters perfecty, as to be expected by this time. The narrative is one of the most lively and intricate i’ve ever seen. The action is on par with pre-Majinboo DBZ,in other words some of the best you will accumulate any where in any genre. Character effect is well done and it’s elegant easy to conect on a personal level with each character. The series is more or less perfect and the three kings saga is the best out of the entire series as a final season should be.

In all if you have the money, like action shows and have seen the rest of the series then prefer this one youy won’t regret it. If you don’t acquire the rest of the series go b8uy it, yes there five or six box sets for $60 each but its well worth the money.

Back in 1982, when this film first came out I remember being absolutely spellbound by the production. It was as if Conan had stepped fair out of Robert E. Howard’s books. I remember some grumbling, because the script was not perfectly good to the new books. But, frankly, I did not give a darn. Valeria (Sandahl Bergman) was the perfect warrior maiden, Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) was the snake worshipper from hell, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was totally out of witness as the nearly inarticulate Conan. What a glare he had!

I don’t mean to limited the rest of the cast, all the actors are astronomical. Garry Lopez as Conan’s sidekick and Mako as the wizard provide funny relief. And who can forget Max Von Sydow as King Osric. In a world that expected science fiction and fantasy movies to be hokey, grade B schlock, ‘Conan the Barbarian’ proved that it didn’t have to be that draw. No microscopic allotment of what makes the film work are the interpret sets and cinematography. Director John Milius strove to give the film something of the flavor of a history that could have happened, and succeeded. In addition, he makes up for the lack of dialog by presenting a continuous ride of carefully orchestrated and framed film sequences.

I was struck while watching it this time how distinguished the dialog and action work to obtain the thematic structure. Often events or dialog will foreshadow action to arrive. In Valeria’s death scene, she asks Conan to hold her warm. And in the next scene we catch him building and lighting a funeral pyre where no fire had burnt before. In the background, the mound with its sacred stones echoes similar shapes seen throughout the film. This kind of thoughtful work is only to be expected of Milius and De Laurentis, but in 1982, it was far beyond the norm for this genre.

Two features are added for the DVD. The first is a running film analysis by Schwarzenegger and Milius, which is every bit as generous as the movie itself. A the second is a feature on the film’s production done 20 years after the fact. It is quite enchanting to hear what the acting and production teams thin about the film in retrospect.

Violent and sexy, the film’s core is built of constant action and spectacle, with very petite dialog. Sudden moments of filmic stillness act to emphasize the intense and often gory fight scenes. This and several moments when there is apparent mistreatment of animals give the film its R rating. Of course, the controversy only added to the film’s popularity at the time. Even today, this manages to be a surprising film. By all means get and grief to study it out.

Believe it or not, I fair spent over five hours with this disk even though I already maintain the unique DVD release. It was worth it. First off, the video is a(remarkable) cleaner and sharper transfer, a marked improvement over the dilapidated disk. And the extras are grand too. After watching the film the first time I actually sat through whole thing again again while listening to the director’s commentary, something I have not done with any other DVD. The extra footage, while only a few minutes, does add something to the ending. I liked it. And Milius’ comments about it made me relish it even more later. My only complaint might be to wish that the commentary had been extended to the outtakes and deleted scenes. I would have liked to hear more about the deleted King Osric scene and how it was originally intended to fit in the movie. Finally, the documentary “Conan Unchained” was a ample surprise. I expected the usual 15 exiguous “making of” promo dating succor to the current release but it is a burly, informative(and droll) featurette with many recently filmed interviews with cast and crew. A fan’s wish approach right. And speaking of wishes, that exchange between John Milius and Arnold about getting together sometime to accomplish a third Conan….YES! Let’s gain Conan on that throne! Anyway, while we’re waiting, we can all eye this one till the sun comes up like I did last night.

I purchased this dvd for my six year old-fashioned nephew who is really into dinosaurs. It has easily become his well-liked. He watches it every chance he gets and is even learning the names of each animal. He gets his pleasure from watching the movies, I acquire mine from watching him and discussing them with him. Money well spent.

I am a large fan of this plot. My son (7) loves dinosaurs and this has immense, realistic portrayals with a “place” that keeps him keen. All of my kids learn from these movies. I really like it because my son saved up and paid for it with his enjoy allowance and so his view counts. Two thumbs up!

This movie is about a group of teen friends growing up in a miniature town Southern high school. Porky’s is a bar in the backwoods. There are some droll parts. The best share of the movie that makes it worth buying is the peeping scene in the girls’ shower, which I rewound again and again. The writing is okay and the acting is generous. The lighting and sound were favorable and the extras did a astonishing job!

I know nothing about the Indian culture or music, and I was a bit skeptical that a 4-hour subtitled movie filmed in India about CRICKET would be of interest to me. I loved every tiny. Not only was this movie visually aesthetic and well paced, it also has a “great heart.” Although a classic fable of mettlesome accepted folk rising up against oppressors, the legend is told with humor and affection and with an infectious joy and innocence that is very racy. One example of the director’s skill is that even though most of the film is concerned with cricket, a sport about which I know absolutely nothing, the movie never lags or slows down, but keeps an active budge.

The singing and dancing were very luscious. Even though I had never been exposed to Hindi singing before, my “Western” ears smooth found the music very pretty.

I can eye why the actor who played Bhuvan is a broad star in India–very charismatic and charming, as well as very edifying looking.

It is completely unfair and the officer’s sister, Elizabeth (Rachel Shelley), takes pity on the farmers. Against her brother’s will, she starts teaching the villagers how to play the game of Cricket. In the process she falls in fancy with Bhuvan. It is a shallow savor at best. While she is stunning, Gauri is completely tantalizing in her complete innocence. Gauri’s jealousy over Bhuvan’s attentions towards Elizabeth is spectacularly portrayed in dance.

The sweeping cinematography creates a magical ambiance and seems to invoke a definite unity of purpose. The luscious wide shots are sumptuously filmed, completely moving your entire being. This movie will gain your complete attention, even through the Cricket scenes. One you plunge in appreciate with Gauri and Bhuvan, you rally to their cause and the sheer tension of the moments during the Cricket games keeps you completely entranced.

The savor memoir is exotic, the choreography like you have never seen, the songs are intoxicatingly sparkling with poetic lyrics. I’ve never imagined anyone could combine so many elements into one movie. Sports and a musical? It is improbable how Ashutosh Gowariker knows how to appeal to the human heart in such a blueprint as to combine a musical, political drama, universal emotions, poetry, community culture, romance, dance, artistic cinematography, patriotism and the brute strength of valor.

A movie that emerges slowly and works its plot into your heart. First peeking out of the ground and then bursting into plump bloom in moments of sheer beauty that will grasp your breath away legal up to the though-provoking climax.

There’s a light, good-hearted nature to “No Reservations” that’s quite resplendent, if a slight predictable. This is fair as considerable a narrative of life as it is a tale of romance, and we all know the formulas such films follow: a person’s world is rearranged when someone novel enters his or her life, and the laughter, tears, and conflict will be plentiful. I expected nothing less from “No Reservations,” which is probably why I was able to luxuriate in it. This is a charming, comic, touching film that casts away any qualms about being formulaic, which is a reliable thing for anyone in need of romantic escapism. The place concerns Kate (Catherine Zeta-Jones), the executive chef of an upscale Unusual York restaurant. I never once concept that Zoe would ever leer Lop and Kate as parental figures, which is fair as weak on Zoe’s portion as it is sunless. Likewise, I never once idea that Kate saw herself as a mother, despite her growing admire for Zoe. The dynamic between these three characters is complex, especially when a number of other conflicts are introduced. For one thing, Zoe fragile status causes problems at school. It also threatens to slay everything Kate has tried to attain. Both are trying, but it’s positive that a lot of emotional baggage remains.

Herein lies the film’s major weakness: most of Kate’s emotional baggage is undefined. We do win a couple of brief mentions, such as her mother’s passion for cooking and her father’s absence from her life. But none of this is properly developed, and that made her controlling behavior seem less understandable and more uncalled for. Aloof, I was taken by the dramatic tension between her and Nick; watching an uptight person letting their guard down is both piquant and uplifting. And I was definitely moved by her attempts with Zoe, who’s honest begging to be hugged and soothed and reassured that everything would be all upright. There’s a moment when she watches home video of her mother; Kate sneaks in, sits down, and holds Zoe tightly. You can practically seek the emotion dripping off the camouflage, which is probably why it’s effective.

Equally as effective is the growing savor between Kate and Nick–a care for that can go in any direction but ultimately treads the expected path. I’ve seen enough cinematic romances to understand that this is appropriate, maybe even vital. “No Reservations” is the kind of film we occasionally want to perceive, if not for plausibility, then for the satisfaction of temporarily disappearing into a fantasy. It plays on our personal desires, namely those of happiness and well being in the midst of a crazy world. At one point, Kate says, “I wish there was a cookbook for life”; I found this clever, despite the overuse of the basic message. If it’s possible for me to bask in this kind of dialogue–or even a film with this kind of dialogue–then I deem it’s ample to bewitch that it’s possible for you, too.

This romantic comedy is likable but extremely predictable. Catherine Zeta Jones plays a chef at an upscale NYC restaurant who has devoted her life to being a large chef. So powerful so that she doesn’t have time for anything else. Her sister is killed in a car break on the design to visit leaving her with her daughter to raise as her fill. Meanwhile the current assistant chef is a carefree guy who brings tremendous changes with him. Can you peruse it coming? Catherine doesn’t like him at first, but then….Yes you guessed it. The record is okay and the acting is genuine enough, but there is nothing original here. This is a obliging rental to gawk with the girlfriend or wife.

This is a surprisingly satisfactory Women In Prison film apparently made in Brazil in 1984. The production values are higher than you might examine and the cinematography is surprisingly obliging, especially in the latter share of the movie. The festivities are helped out a lot by a fair Brazilian beauty named Suzane Carvalho.

Suzane has a junkie brother who shoots and kills a drug pusher. She tells him to sail and she takes the rap for the kill, thinking that they’ll give a woman a lesser sentence for the crime. She’s thrown in the slammer with a bunch of hot-blooded Brazilian beauties that always seem to be naked. She’s assign in a cell with about 7 other women. One woman is the queen bee of the cell, and she’s horny. So, the other women strip our innocent fish and then whip her with wet towels. Then our queen bee jumps on top of her to earn a limited forced intimacy.

Her injuries from the towel whipping are beautiful unpleasant, so she’s sent to the infirmary. The lesbian “head matron” wants to know who did it to her, but she won’t talk, so she and a guard recall the fish to the showers and hose her down, trying to earn her to talk. The force of the water rips her shirt launch. But the fish doesn’t talk and is sent befriend to the infirmary. Next, while level-headed in the infirmary, three guys who were associates of the drug pusher who was killed sneak into the prison and attempt to hang her, putting a noose around her neck and hoisting her into midair. The lights are flipped on and the thugs scatter and our fish is saved from being hanged, but again, she has sustained quite a bit of injuries. Things aren’t going well for this woman at all. The doctor in charge takes a special interest in the woman (who wouldn’t? ) . He finds out that it was actually her brother who committed the cancel and he tries to obtain the brother to confess so our fish, Angela, can be released before she’s killed. But being a worthless junkie, he won’t.

Meanwhile, after Angela has recuperated a bit, she is invited into the head matron’s office. The head matron tells her that she can protect her if she would only reveal her some affection, and the matron puts the moves on her. At first Angela resists, but the next thing you know, they are in a surprisingly explicit lesbian care for tryst, complete with burly frontal nudity, French kissing, the works. Splendid hot stuff for these sorts of movies!

Meanwhile, Angela’s brother commits suicide and leaves a price gradual confessing to the assassinate of the drug pusher. The prison doctor and the local authorities immediately derive a deem to mark papers to have Angela released from prison.

But before notification gets to the prison, it’s expend time in the prison yard and an inmate tries to stab Angela in the assist, but the biggest meanest inmate, who happens to like Angela, prevents it. She then takes the knife and stabs the attacker. What happens next is something I haven’t seen in a prison yard fight before. As the guards pile into the yard and relate the women to tumble the knife, she beheads the attacker and flips her head toward a guard! Now there’s an all out women’s prison riot and Angela and a puny group of women rush over a wall with guns they stole from guards that were wounded or killed in the riot. She doesn’t know that she’d be released from prison if she honest stuck around a bit.

Now we’re rotund on into a jungle adventure. A large group of guards and dogs are on their trails trying to gather up to them. The women can’t glean along too well, and have numerous catfights with each other. Some are attacked by killer snakes. Angela gets sick of all of the infighting and strikes out on her absorb. The guards obtain up to the women, but the women fight them off.

Eventually, some local guys derive the three women who have survived thus far, bewitch them, and tie them up. They are going to turn them over to the authorities for the reward money, but not before they try to rape the women. Fortunately for the women, Angela shows up with her gun and all of the would be rapists are killed by the women. One woman is killed in this mess, so there are three women left, including Angela, and they create their map out of the jungle and occupy a truck. They’re going to build it across the border. But there’s a really vast, mean guy sleeping in the abet of the truck. He secretly lets the gas out of the gas tank, and when the trucks comes to a conclude, he bashes in the front window of the truck with a gargantuan crowbar, but one of the women blows him away. To earn a long myth short, they develop their scheme on foot to a church with children in it, and a gigantic number of guards surrounding the church. Again, the women are fighting, and one of them tries to destroy Angela, but the doctor shows up and prevents it and kills the woman. Now there’s two women left. The two women and the doctor originate their intention out a assist entrance, but the guards start fire. The one woman gets to a car and then drives the car into the group of guards, hitting a truck, which causing a gargantuan explosion, which kills all of the guards. Our doctor and our fair Angela are the only ones left standing and they are now free to go off and launch a fabulous recent life together.

In general, I like 70s exploitation action movies, and this is a reliable one. Never a plain moment. The dubbing is salubrious. The women are generally great looking. There’s gobs of nudity, including chubby frontal, lesbianism, including a surprisingly explicit scene with the lesbian head “matron”, whippings, catfights on land, catfights in water, gun battles, a hosing down scene (provided by a tank that shoots water at the women during the stout riot) a enormous riot, and of course, a beheading. Well, hell, what more do you want? Cirio H. Santiago, eat your heart out. I’ll have to rate this movie a 4, because it’s not only a safe WIP movie, it’s also a respectable action movie

WOMEN IN FURY is simply one of the best (if not the best) women in prison flicks I have seen. I know, I know, 5 stars???!!! To me yes, 5 stars… If it makes me laugh out loud it get’s 5 stars. Why? These movies can be watched again and again without seeming mature to me. Finally, these movies are available on DVD. These movies are pure silliness, but loads of fun. Ok, it’s not art, but I laughed my butt off throughout the whole movie(s) . It’s nice to notice that Ritter will be remembered - he was a joy to view in these two films. I would compare these movies to Dennis the Menace (Dir. by John Hughes) . Special scenes to my heart are Martha Quinn (yes, the MTV VJ Martha Quinn) blind date; the food fight in the Bubble Room (in Maitland/Orlando FL -The Bubble Room closed down a few years ago, and it’s nice to peep it is preserved in this movie) ; and Lorraine Newmann (from the Not Ready for Time Prime Players aka Saturday Night Live Unusual Member) wedding scenes. Pure Fun -Pure joy!

Problem Child is an all time fun movie to eye. Micheal Oliver does a enormous job playing Junior Healy, a devilish child who creates chaos for particularly no reason at all. My wife and I saw Kekexili at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and both loved the movie. It reminds me of “Touching the Void”, with its trusty life dramatic account retold on the veil. It’s the correct sage of a wildlife war on the remote Tibetan highlands, where local villagers mounted their maintain patrols as game wardens to assign the vanishing Tibetan antelope. In the mid 1990s, the unusual species was hunted for its pelts (to be sold to Western furriers) to advance extinction, and local patrols fought battles with poachers using automatic rifles in jeeps while dealing with lands devoid of roads, altitudes over 20,000 feet, quicksand, and extremes of weather to attach it.
